Chapter 1
"Yeah, yeah. I'm emotionless, insensitive and unobservant." I told my friend, Rhea
"Kay, honey, I know you're not. There's something very wrong and I command you to tell me." Rhea said calmly.
We we're at a table in the local dairy product kiosk. Rhea called for an emergency bff meeting because of what I did. I broke up with my long time 2-year boyfriend, George which is coincidentally, Rhea's brother's best friend. I was not shocked that they knew instantly.
"Come on girl, speak up. " my sweet hazel doe-eyed auburn haired friend pleaded.
I sighed then fidgetted with shoulder length highlighted (originally brownish caramel colored) hair.
"Alright. The thing is, George is very... perfect. He's very thoughtful and considerate but well.. I'm not. There's no more spark in our relationship and it feels like it's just for show. I don't even think he loves me. " I finished.
Rhea stared at me then pondered for a while. Rhea sipped abruptly from her coffee then gulped.
"Kay, I'm sorry I did not realize that, but you seemed happier with George. I guess things shouldn't be forced and that it's not always meant to be. I'll go tell Daniel to respect your decision and tell his buddy and.. well your ex, that." she said then smiled weakly.
The truth is, Rhea was the reason why I met George. From the beginning it went well but secretly, my relationship with George was more like staged or was an act. Rhea's a romantic so I couldn't blame her if she feels sad because one of her cupid works ended.
I smiled at her then did my thank- you- so- much- it- means- a- lot- I- love- you face. She had always said that my dark blue/sky blue-, flecked eyes are irresistible so I was a bit relieved when she chuckled, which meant she officially understands me.
