Chapter 16

I can't put in words how sorry I am for the long wait, but I've done nothing but revise for my gcse tests this holiday, to make up for it though this chapter is a little more exciting than the last.

I bit my lip as I watched his retreating back, sighing as I turned around. Too bad he wasn't as nice on this inside, but damn God outdone himself when he made him. A hand clapped on my back and as I turned around I realised it was Leah.

She grinned 'I have the stuff'

I beamed 'Perfect, give it to me so i can out It in my bag'

She nodded and handed me a plastic bag, knotted tightly and I took It from here quickly, stuffing It In my bag. I winced, talk about It being heavy. This plan better be worth me getting a bent back.

She pulled me up and we walked towards the playground waiting for the others and i coudn't help but turn around once to see if Trey was still there.

All through out the first two lessons I stayed rigid In my seat, barely focusing on my work as I counted down the minutes. Even at break I barely concentrated on what my friends were saying. I had only one thing on my mind and ever so often leah would catch my eye and we would both grin to ourselves.

After break I had double maths, but It was okay because the tables had been rearranged today and we were in groups and luckily for me I had smart people on my table who were more than happy to help me with my work.

'Sorry' I said for the fifth time; tapping my biro ben on the table. 'I'm just not good at this stuff' I waved at the maths worksheet with my hand.

'It's okay' The guy next to me called Arnold that had patiently repeated the method over and over again said; giving me a toothy grin as he proceeded in his explanation of why x is squared or something of that matter. 'So the answer is 35.3279' He looked at me expectantly, putting his pen down as if he just figured out the easiest equation in the world.

I scrammed my brain, thinking of finding something to say that didn't make me seem as If I wasn't paying attention to him .........again! I looked down at the paper, but all i saw was crossed out numbers and arrows with random words. 'Sorry' I said guiltily, looking down at my hands that i'd cupped together. 'It's just that I'm really distracted and I've had a bad day' I gave him an innocent smile; batting my eyelashes. 'I knew this must be really annoying, but could you possibly go through It wish me again?' I knew i was pushing my luck, but he didn't seem to mind. 'Um y-yeah sure' he fixed the glasses on his nose and pushed himeself forward. 'So basically the first ste-'

'Mind If I cut In?'

I looked up and guess who It was smirking down at me. 'I'll take It from here' he averted his eyes from me briefly to address Arnold and then his eyes drifted back to me showing humour. Arnold sighed, but got up, collecting his things. 'No don't go, It's alright Will, Arnold is more than capable in explaining this to me'

'Which is why he's gone over It more than 6 times'

I winced, wow I zoned off alot. Poor Arnold.

'I nearly got it anyway, there's no need' I protested, but Will had already taken Arnolds seat. I watched as Arnold went to a spare seat at the front.

'Uff you just made him go, he was helping me!' I moaned

'I can help you with many things' he winked
