Eighteen.
I got home and grabbed something to eat. Since my dad was at work, I had the house to myself.
I sat on the couch and turned on Cupcake Wars.
I started to watch it to get my mind off of everything, but Liam had invaded all areas of my thoughts.
I realized I hadn't checked my phone since I left Liam's house.
Great. 6 Missed calls from Liam. 2 Voicemails. 12 Texts.
I decided to read through the texts.
Liam: Hey.
Liam: I got your note.
Liam: Please answer me.
Liam: Are you okay?
Liam: Last night wasn't a mistake.
Liam: You deserve better than Jake.
Liam: I can treat you better.
Liam: Please pick up.
Liam: I won't give up on us.
Liam: I miss being around you.
Liam: Please, Brooke.
Liam: Call me.I had to talk to him. I dialed his number and hit call. He answered almost instantly.
"Brooke!" He exclaimed. "Look I'm so sorry."
"Liam, please don't do this. I can't be in a relationship now," I said. "We can talk later."
"Okay. I'm glad you're okay. I was worried about you," he said. "I know you need space, but please talk to me. I miss you."
And I hung up.
Yes, I needed space.
But I also needed him.
I left my house with a need to see one person; Liam.
