Twenty.
I shouldn't have kissed him.
He just looked so cute sitting there with his hair messed up and no shirt on.
Ugh, why do I always have to ruin everything?
I flopped on my bed face first, squishing my face into a pillow.
Ding! Another text. From Liam.
I took my phone and threw it across the room. I needed space and time. Didn't he understand that?
"Ugh," I groaned, and went to pick up my phone.
Thank god it wasn't shattered.
Liam: I'm sorry I acted out. Call me back?
I decided to ignore him.
He needed to get out of my head; now.
I sat on my bed and pulled out my laptop, watching re-runs of Friends.
The more I watched it, the more I realized how cheesy it was, but it was still a great show.
~
A few days passed, and there were no more texts or calls from Liam.
Finally, he gave me some space.
I pretty much sat in my room the whole day watching Netflix, until I finally decided to get out of the house. It's been long enough, maybe I'm ready for a relationship now.
I drove over to his house and knocked on the door, nervous as ever.
He was wearing the same thing as when I came a few days ago, but he now had a shirt on.
"What are you doing here?" he groggily asked. I could tell he was really tired.
"I'm ready for a relationship."
"Really?" he smiled.
"Yeah, I need you," I said.
He picked me up and spun me around before kissing me again.
I was finally happy again.
