21:54 and the clock was still ticking. The hours kept passing, the clock stopped for no one, it had been exactly three hours and seventeen minutes since Toris told him. And Feliks was starting to feel empty, he wanted to call him so badly but Toris had said he'd call and Feliks believed him. Toris will call, he must call. Three hours nineteen minutes since Feliks found his soulmate.

Toris had finally admitted that ever since they touched all those years ago, he could see color like Feliks could.

Toris and Feliks were soulmates.

It took Feliks five years of hoping and suggesting and now Toris had said it out loud to Feliks. Toris had said it. Feliks had a soulmate who loved him and only three hours and twenty five minutes ago they'd been talking. Feliks wanted to call but he didn't, he couldn't. Three hours twenty seven minutes and no phone call, not that Feliks was keeping track. The first time they touched seemed worlds away. Feliks had touched the new kid in high school and his whole world burst into color and Feliks heart broke because Toris seemed unaffected but he hadn't been truly unaffected.

Feliks pretended he was okay and that he wasn't seeing so many glorious colors (he was though and he had to lie about it all).

Three hours thirty five minutes and no call, the call that had been promised. Feliks felt himself growing even more impatient than he usually was.

Three hours thirty six minutes ago Toris had been soaking wet and standing at Feliks' doorstep. Toris  had simply said, "I can see color. I've been able to see color ever since our second year of high school when you bumped into me. Feliks, I waited until I was sure I loved you to tell you. I knew it might take a while and it did. But, I'm sure now. I know I love you. I know I'm in love with you and I can't avoid that fact any more. I'm sorry it took me five years to fall in love with you. When we met, I was in love with someone else. I loved a boy from my old high school-"

Feliks had stopped him, "it's all okay, Toris. I love you the same."

They didn't kiss, Toris said he would call and left.

Three hours forty minutes later and still no call.

Feliks phone buzzed with a text from Ivan.

From: Ivan👌

[23:16]

hey, what hair dye do u use? and how do u keep ur hair so soft?!

Feliks laughed, glad something could take his mind off the seriousness of not getting called.

To: Ivan👌

[23:17]

Um, well, I do mine at home and it rlly depends on the color and as for the softness, I use product to keep it healthy

Toris called a split second after Feliks sent the text to Ivan. Feliks jumped at the sudden buzzing of his phone.

"Toris!" Feliks stuttered into the phone. His nerves suddenly overtook him and he started shaking. His palms began to sweat. Three hours forty two minutes before Toris called. "Feliks, hi." Toris said, speaking calmly for what was about to happen. What was about to happen? Feliks didn't know.

"This is going to be a hard conversation."

Feliks made a sound of surprise. "W-what do you mean?"

Feliks could hear regret in Toris' voice, "I got a job in Italy and uh, I move there in a month." Feliks felt the breath getting knocked out of him, he couldn't remember the last time he'd felt helpless.

"O-oh."

Toris sighed, "you could come with me? I-if you wanted." Toris asked, tentatively. As if the offer was too much.

"O-oh.. I.. Well..." Feliks tried, he didn't want to leave his home town, the place he'd spent his entire life. Feliks then said something that surprised himself, "I want to go with you, have you found a place yet?"

VENICE, ITALY

Everything felt surreal to Feliks. Like, it shouldn't even be happening to Feliks. He moved it Italy for his soulmate and best friend, Toris. They were in looove (at least Feliks said so). They were safe and happy in a bubble away from life. They shared sweet kisses and long nights. Feliks couldn't believe he'd gotten so lucky. He felt blissful.

"Tor, what do you want for dinner?" Became something Feliks loved to ask. He loved how domestic they were and he couldn't believe Toris was his. Toris seemed to be as happy as Feliks and the two loved their apartment and three cats Binky, Kwanza, and Saku Sweetpea.

Feliks found a job that allowed him to work from home a lot and so he'd sit in the sunniest part of the apartment with his cats and work in peace. Toris would often come home and find him relaxed while working. Italy had been the best thing that ever happened to the couple.
