Never Normal [Chapter 28] The Boy With the Dragon Eyes:
"Fyre you don't have to do this. You don't have to hurt anyone," Lloyd pleaded with the demon, "You're not alone, you never will be."
"You just don't get it, huh? There's only room for one fire wielder, and there is only place for dragons, so I think it's best you leave and pray to live, alone. I mean, you can't trust anyone anymore, am I right? Not even your precious boyfriend. He'll just hurt you again."
"What? What're you-"
"Fire wielders always have been one with dragons..." Fyre cooed, looking over at Kai who gasped and clutched his head, wincing painfully.
"Kai?" Lloyd went to reach for his lover's hands, but Zane held him back and started pulling him away, and Fyre said evilly, "He never really did fit in with the human species.. He should be thanking me! Finally bringing him to where he belongs.." she smirked, eyeing the fire ninja, who fell to his knees as he cried out in pain, shaking uncontrollably.
"Kai!" Lloyd yelled, breaking free of Zane's grasp and they all got ready to fight, and Lloyd put his hand on Kai's shoulders, "Kai, Kai listen to me it's going to be al-"
Kai looked up at Lloyd, his red eyes and pupils, not the same.. His eyes had flames burning in them, and his pupils were cat-like, small and thin. The one in red looked up at Lloyd evilly, a growl escaping from low in his throat as he started walking towards Lloyd on all fours, causing the green one to back away in fear, "K-Kai, snap o-out of it!" he pleaded.
"Show him your ways," Fyre seethed, and Kai's eyes sparked a flame in them as he stood on two legs, fire growing in his hands.
Desperate to rid their friend and brother of whatever was seeming to possess him, his fellow ninja attacked Fyre making her tumble off the side of the ship, but she flew back up, her eyes glowing red in the night and they all fought heroically, while Lloyd was cornered, too afraid and hurt to do anything, "Kai please!" Lloyd cried out, his hands shaking and Kai smirked at his once best friend, rearing his hands back and throwing the burning hot fire balls at Lloyd, who countered back with his own powers last second, but was too late as smoke filled the deck of the ship around them.
