Pearl teaches Y/N about fencing

"You hold the sword like this" Pearl stated as she held the sword out
We were currently in the sky arena because Pearl was teaching me about fencing. I saw her demonstration with Steven a couple of months ago but it ended with Pearl getting wounded. I grabbed the sword out of Pearl's hand. My palms were sweating after hours of practice and I was getting tired from the work.
"Can I take a break now"
Pearl looked at me apprehensivly before complying. I cheered before running to the water bottle that was on the seat. I drank the water as Pearl came to sit with me.
"Why do you want to learn how to fence"
"I want to protect my friends" I said lifting the bottle from my mouth
"Don't we all"
I raised my eyebrows.
"What do you mean"
"It's nothing"
I hate when she do this.
"So Pearl, why did you learn how to sword fight"
"I had to fight in the rebellion with Rose but back then I couldn't summon my weapon"
"Oh"
"Can I be....Honest with you"
"Yeah sure"
"When I look at you or even when you talk to me....all I see is Rose"
My eyes widened.
"Is that why you treat me different"
No answer.
"You are different from her though and I grew to respect the fact that she is gone"
"Pearl what are you getting at"
"I love you, Y/N"
"I love you too"
"No, like more than a friend"
It all makes sense now.
"Pearl, do you love me for me or for Rose"
"I don't know"
"Well make up your mind because I going back to the temple"
I walked away.

I've been sitting in the same spot for hours.
Do I love Y/N for Y/N?
I sighed then smiled weakly.
"Short days......Long nights"

I not satisfied with this chapter.
My schedule is packed to the brim. Nah just kidding I just started playing Overwatch and I think I'm addicted.
