as the days got rainier iwaizumi got more tired.

oikawa spent all of his time locked up in iwaizumi's room, either doing homework as he slept or keeping him company when he was actually present.

"my mom's taking me to the hospital," iwaizumi said, tissue against his bleeding nose, sitting up on his bed. "she's worried."

"how worried?" oikawa asked, worriedly.

"i don't know," iwaizumi sighed. oikawa could see that he, himself, was worried.

"well, you're going to be fine, iwa-chan," oikawa whispered, leaning over the edge of his bed and taking iwaizumi's free hand.

"but what if it won't be?" oikawa bit his lip. his voice sounded weak and he didn't like it one bit.

"then i'll be doing my homework in a hospital room."

"thank... you," iwaizumi whispered breathlessly. his eyes slowly started to close. oikawa jumped up and held him up by his back, pressing the tissue against his softly bleeding nose.

he sighed deeply.
