about three quarters in to the holiday, iwaizumi fell ill again, and returned to his hospital room.

his mother said he had collapsed trying to get some water, and was unconscious for an extremely long period of time. he got such huge bruises from the fall that his parents decided to bring him back for check-up. the doctor noticed that the medication was having less effect, leaving them to switch to another one.

oikawa overheard the news from his and iwaizumi's mother's discussion. iwaizumi's mom sounded incredibly upset.

"it's just so sad... he misses tooru a lot. i wish i knew why they aren't speaking."

"tooru's been sulking a lot too," his own mother admitted. "i'll talk to him. he loves hajime dearly. i'm sure he's ready to forgive and forget."

"i sure hope so," the woman sniffed. "he's not only physically but also emotionally declining. i'm worried that things will be going downhill way more if the two stay apart for too long."

oikawa ran upstairs. he didn't want to hear about iwaizumi doing badly.

he took out his favourite volleyball - one iwaizumi had given him for his seventh birthday - and put it on his nightstand. tomorrow, he'd visit iwa-chan again.
