Two in a Million: 31 | Bye
| Laura Marano |

"Hey, do you remember when I told you I auditioned for a movie when we first started texting?" Ross suddenly asks, turning the tv off. His hand stops rubbing my stomach and he turns my body a little ways away so I could see his face clearly.

"Um, yeah?" I say, getting a bit confused. We've been watching movies all day and it's almost midnight. What brought this up? "Did you get the part?!" I ask, placing my hand on his bicep. He gives me a small head nod, to which I furrow my eyebrows. "What's wrong? You got a part in a movie, Ross. That's awesome!" I say, sitting up completely. He follows, sitting up as well, but sighs.

"Laura, I leave Monday. It's filmed in Vancouver in Canada for three or four months." He whispers.

"Monday? That's in two days, Ross." I reply. I suddenly become very aware that the producers let you know months in advance about filming time. "How long have you known?" I whisper. He runs his fingers through his hair.

"Since like... February or something." He whispers.

"Over seven months ago?" I ask. He nods his head, giving me a sad smile. "And this never came up in a conversation?"

"I didn't know how to tell you! It was never a good time, Laur. I'm really sorry that it's such short notice but... yeah... My flights at seven in the morning." He whispers, messing with his ring. "Are you mad at me?" He asks, looking up.

"A little." I admit, sighing. "But only because you never told me you got the part. We've been dating for almost seven months, yet you haven't told me about this movie." I say, looking down. "Why wouldn't you want me to know?"

"I-I don't know." He replies, giving me a frown. "Things are going well and I didn't want to screw it up by me leaving out of the country. I don't even know if I'm allowed to have you come visit me." He whispers, frowning. "Adam hasn't told me anything about visitors." He adds, looking down. "But we'll FaceTime."

"Ross, I'm not worried about the distance crap. That won't be a problem. What I'm worried about is you not telling me this!" I say, grabbing his wrist. "Babe, this is something huge and you've managed to keep it from me for months. I don't even understand how I didn't see this on social media?"

"Because no ones posted about it or knows anything about it really. And I only kept it from you because I was scared." He whispers, grabbing my wrist now. I gently shove his shoulder, giving him a smile. "Are we good?" He asks.

"Of course we're good. And you'll kick ass in the movie too." I say. "I just wish I would've known sooner." I add, picking at my fingernails.

"I know, I'm sorry." He whispers, rapping an arm around my shoulder. "That just means I'll be spending the rest of my two days with you." He adds, hugging me close.

"What about your family? Packing?" I ask.

"All day Sunday is a family day, which you're invited too, and I've already packed things. I'm all done." He replies.

"Is this why we never hung out at your place for the past week?" I ask, totally understanding now.

"Pretty much." He whispers. "But shh, let's finish the movie and then go to bed." Sighing, I take his arm and wrap it around me again, cuddle into his side and feel his lips touch my hair. "I'm sorry." He whispers. I pat his chest a few times yet don't say a single thing.
