magnolia paced in the living room of her apartment, she twisted her engagement ring around her ring finger. magnolia knew what she had to do.

ryan unlocked the door to magnolia's flat. magnolia's head turned to the door as it opened. she stood when she saw ryan step inside with his gym bag on his shoulder.
"you okay?" ryan asked, looking at magnolia's face.
"sit down." magnolia was about to do something that she was going to lift a lot of guilt off her shoulders. ryan sat across from magnolia on the couch.
"i can't marry you." she says, taking her ring off and handing it to him. "i'm not as in love with you as i want to be, it's not fair to you if i have feeling for someone else."
ryan's face was so pained. he looked as if magnolia has ripped his heart from his chest, set it on the ground and smashed it with a baseball bat.
"i'm sorry, ryan."
"me too." ryan stood and walked to the front door. "thank you for your honesty. please don't ever contact me again." ryan said, slamming the door.
when the door hit, magnolia fell apart.
