Maya POV

Lucas and I met up for lunch at a Restaurant near the Rockefeller Center at about Noon. He already had a table booth for us when I got there.  I made my way to where he was seating and when I caught sight of him it almost took my breath away by how good he looked. I was so attracted to him it wasn't even funny.  I took a seat across from him and put my purse beside me.

"Hey Ranger Rick." I said with a grin.

"Hey!  Wait what?" he answered with a smile that melted my heart.

"You heard me Huckleberry." I replied. "Lets figure out what we want before we hold the waitress up." I said with a grin.

Lucas and I decided on sharing a Pizza.  It was simple and it sounded good so that's what we did. He told me that Kenzie was begging to come with him but he promised her we'd be home later and would take her another time.

"I'm glad your mom doesn't hate me." I said to him.

"She would never hate you, Maya." he answered. "She was just concerned that's all."

"Yeah, I can understand why she'd have a 'what the hell' moment." I chuckled.

"So tell me more about yourself Ms. Hart."

"What would you like to know?" I curiously asked.

Lucas took a sip of his drink and then looked up at me "Tell me more about your family. Do you have any siblings?"

"Nope! It's just my mom and I. " I answered truthfully.

"How about your Dad?" he asked.

"I don't know my Dad. He didn't want to be a part of my life." I replied. "That's why I was so drawn to babysitting your little sister. Your mom is a single Mom. I give her major props."

I didn't mind talking with Lucas about my life. In fact it was kind of easy to talk to him about it.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that Maya. He truly missed out on knowing a great person. Your mom has raised you well."

"Thank you Lucas." I said with a smile. "Now tell me about you."

"Well, my mom raised me up until a year ago when I went to live with my Dad. It was really hard to leave her and Kenzie but she promised me she'd get by. " he answered.

"Why did you go to live with your Dad?"

"It doesn't matter." he replied and I didn't push him any further. I figured he'd tell me in his own time.

"Do you like the farm life or do you prefer the city?" I asked

"The City but I love working on the Farm too."

"If you lived with your Mom most of your life how come you never went to John Quincy Adams?"  I asked because I was curious as to why I never saw him.

"Dad thought I should go to a private school and Mom agreed to it because he offered to pay for it."

Lucas and I finished lunch then headed on over the Rockefeller Center to Ice Skate. It was a bit crowded today and that was due to Christmas being tomorrow.   I was used to Ice Skating because I would always go with Riley. I was kind of becoming a pro at it.  We skated our way to the infamous Christmas tree and I made him take a couple selfies with me. I was reading a text when I looked up to see Lucas was skating towards me.  When he got closer to me he put his arm out to  grab a hold of the side to catch himself and I started giggling at him because I thought he was going to fall.

"You going to make it?" I joked. and just as I said that he was trying to keep his balance but instead by trying to grab a  hold of the side of the rink but instead grabbed me on accident taking me down with him. I was I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop.

"Are you done laughing yet?"

"No." I chuckled. "That was hilarious."

"It was simply a balance issue." he replied and I started laughing harder.

"You almost fell on your ass. I can't. I wish I had got it on video." I was laughing so much I didn't even take into account until now that I was laying on top of him. I started to come off my laughing fit and finally lifted my head to look at him. He was smiling at me.

"You're beautiful Maya." he said to me causing me to blush.

"You aren't so bad yourself." I replied.

Lucas lifted his hand up and placed it my cheek. "I love your pretty blue eyes." he said.

Without thinking I slowly leaned in towards him closing the gap between our faces. At this point I didn't care who was watching. I didn't stop until our lips made contact. Once he knew what I was doing he kissed me back. I nibbled on his bottom lip and he opened his mouth to give me access. We kissed for a few seconds and then pulled away.

"Come on lets get up. People are probably wondering what we are doing." I whispered.

"I don't care what they think but you're right we should probably get up." he said in agreement.

We continued to skate for a little while longer.  It was such a wonderful day with Lucas. The lunch and then Ice Skating afterwards made it the perfect day. Before leaving we each got ourselves a hot chocolate and took a seat on the bench.

"Today was so much fun. Thank you Lucas." I replied.

"Aside from me falling on my ass in front of a 100 people I agree the day was perfect." he said before taking a sip of his Hot Chocolate.

I started giggling again. "I still don't understand how that happened."

"I told you that I lost my balance." he replied.

"I don't know know what you were doing but maybe next time we should get you one of those things that young kids hold onto so they don't fall. "

He rolled his eyes. "I don't need one of those when I have you."

"True." I said in agreement.

After finishing our Hot Chocolate, Lucas decided last minute before we left that he wanted to get Kenzie an ornament for the tree. He bought her a cute Ice Skating ornament and said she'd love it.  I looked at him with a smile on my face. Today really was so much fun. I didn't want it to end. I had no regrets about kissing Lucas and I don't think he did either.
