To play with someone's feelings
Is to make the greatest sacrifice
That you could hope to make.
You risk the chance of losing them,
The person who would die,
If only you would live.
You risk the chance of losing them,
The person who would give
Every star they could reach.
You risk the chance of losing them,
The person who loves you,
The person who cares
So much more than you know.
You risk the chance of losing them,
And some my see the next as worse,
You risk the chance of loving them.
You risk the chance of loving them,
But by the time you do,
Be careful.
Once someone has been hurt,
Their feelings have been played,
It is so very difficult
To regain their full trust.
Once someone has been hurt,
It's hard, despite their feelings
To fix what has been broken.
So if you play with feelings,
Be quite well aware,
You risk the chance of losing them,
You may hurt them much.
You risk the chance of loving them,
But no longer having their trust.
Beware that if you play,
Play often with feelings,
You won't have much trust,
Or respect placed in you.
