well what a birthday this was

Jace's pov

the next day I watch her carefully Maci and Laci were talking with her all day they had lunch I decided not to talk to her so she doesn't ask question I can tell in her face it was killing her to be so close and not have me say something I held my ground and stayed strong at the end of the day I meet Jackson outside.

"hey i'm going out to the mall I have to do something"tomorrow was Makenzie's birthday and even though she hates me right now I wanted to get her something that would make her smile Jackson came along he went off to do his own thing I went my own way as well

I saw this beautiful necklace the dimond was in the shape of a tear drop it was shiny and perfect I wanted to get her some else with it though so I went and got her a caramel colored bear what else would she like roses and dozens of them I thought she would like something else but what then it came to me what about a puppy she was perfect I was done I saw Jackson waiting for me

"you came here to get a bear flowers and a necklace and a dog?"

"yes Makenzie's birthday is tomarrow"

"ooooooohhhh so got her that huh"he smiled at me

"shut up dude and yea I did get her something"

"yeah I know" I wanted to stay here with Makenzie and try to get her to forgive me but I have to as much as it kills me I have to let the twin convince her.

"well good luck I hope she will even take it"

Makenzie's pov

The next morning I woke up and sat up in my bed I saw Derrek sitting down smiling at me

"good morning birthday girl"I smiled did he really wait here until

"you there princess will get your present later I hope you like it but um someone I think left this for you"

He pick up the stuff and handed to me the bear smelled sweet strawberries my favorite and the roses looked amazing and the necklace was beautiful I couldn't help but smile I wondered

"oh and this"a puppy came on the bed she came and licked my face

"oh my god are serious who gave me this" I loved it

"i don't know the note only said happy birthday"

when my brother got up and left I got ready for school I can out the bathroom I put on the necklace and I was on my way down stairs Kady was following me (the puppy I decided to name her that) when I got down stairs Jace was looking at my neck then back at his plate Kady ran right to him and barked i think she wanted his food I laughed and got somthing to eat the door open and someone came through the door

It was damon I ran to him and went into his arms

"happy birthday kenzie and no you can't see your present"his eyes fell on my necklace he had a puzzled look on his face
