Chapter 19 - Father and Child

"S-Sayaka !!"

The guy looks like his in his mid twenties , wearing simple casual clothes but he's a looker (no homo) he could easily passed in as a model...

He walks towards Raika and by the looks of it he seems to have mistakenly took Raika for her dead wife , i unconsciously blocks the mans way and he make a sudden stop but due to the slippery marbled floor he skids into me and...

"Whoa !"

"Yikes !"

*Blgsh!!*

They collided and fall flat on their butts..

"O-ouchie !"

"M-Mina , are you okay ?! , geez what are you doing.." said Raika while helping me stand up..

"Are you okay ,Mister ?" said Kasumi

"Y-Yeah ,i'm so sorry about that..." he said..

"And thank you for finding my son , i really appreciate it.." he said while bowing his head..

"Oh no , please we didn't do anything he actually found you..." said Raika smiling..

The man just stood their in awe his mind wondering while staring at Raika.

"Is there something wrong ?" said Raika confusingly..

"Oh! i'm sorry , it's just , you really looked like my deceased wife...."

(So he did , thought that Raika is her dead wife , ...)

"Thank goodness to your boyfriend blocking the way if he didn't i'd eventually hugged you and eventually kissed you hahaha..." he jokes..

(B-boyfriend ? I wish !)

"Well thank goodness then , because if you did, i'll eventually brake your jaw..." Raika giggled

(I shouldn't have blocked him then..)

"W-Wait ? D-did you say boyfriend ?!"

Raika and i exchanges gaze..

"His ...not your boyfriend ?"

Raika looks at me awkwardly , as if she was hesitant to say i'm not his boyfriend , i just look at  her and smiled..

"Oh! i'm sorry i just thought i ...well i'm sorry about that..."

"Oh no, please don't be..." Raika smiled wryly

"Well , uhm , i'm sorry but we need to go now.." said Raika cutting their conversation short..

But when were about to go , the kid run into Raika again..

"Where are you going Mama ?!"

(For crying out loud kid , piss off , god i wish i could be an asshole for a day and said that out loud..)

Raika squats down to the boys level and said something...

The boy seems to have calmed down...and walks back to his father..

Kasumi and I exchange surprised glances..

"Uh , i'm sorry about this .." the man hurriedly grab into his kid and carry him up..

"And thank you again..."

"You sure are good with kids..." Kasumi said

"Ahaha , i can just abandon a crying face..."

".....You sure are nice.." Mina said

"Some people might call it nosy...." she said smiling lightly

Then Kasumi and Raika seems to both sighed in relief..

For some reason their eyes grew distant...

"W-what's wrong , Raika , Kasumi ?"

"Oh! "

"Huh ?"

A faint smile forms on Raikas face..

"S-sorry it's nothing..."

"I'm glad he found his father..."

...But Kasumi , drops her gaze , troubled about something..

(Kasumi...)

As we watch the father and son leave...and the kids eyes affixed on Raika , i suddenly hear Kasumi's faint murmurs..

".....i wish me and...."

"Kasumi what did you say ?"

"What ?"

"I mean you're wishing for something ?"

"...Did you hear me ?"

"Y-yeah..."

Kasumi gives Raika an uncomfortable look..

"What's wrong Kasumi ?"

"Well...no , it's nothing..."

"You don't want to talk about it ? , i'm just worried Kasumi you look sad.."

"I....i....."

As if untying a stiff rope.....Raika slowly unwinds into Kasumi into talking...

And then....

"......Actually , i never had a good relationship with my father..."

She murmurs quietly...

"If that kid would have been me , my dad would have just left...."

"W-what ?"

"K-Kasumi...?"

"......I guess even you have cross to bare..."

I'm curious about Kasumi and her issues but i'm afraid to ask...Raika perhaps feeling the same way , smiles gently..

"But , Kasumi ....There's no such thing as an uncaring father.."

".....Are you sure about that..?"

"I don't know what happen , but won't you tell me ?"

Then, Raika lowers her voice and murmurs..

"At the very least ....you should consider yourself lucky for having a father.."

"..huh ?"

"Raika ?"

Raika's sad eyes narrows to slits..But her gloom last only a second her happy face pops up again.

"Well , this isn't the time or place for this conversation.."

"Kasumi ...i don't know how much i can help but, i'm here for you.."

"R-right..."

"Let's go home..."

"O-okay.."

"Let's go Mina..."

But Raika's gloomy expression still bothers me , and what's with that father and child , what did she say to the kid ?

(Raika , you looked very different just then...I wonder what happened to her...)

I wouldn't find out until much later.....
