As soon as I walk in the door, Barbara greets me with a hug and several 'happy squeals'. Bernie comes out of his office to see what all the fuss is about, and a smile instantly stretches across his face.
As I enter the Achievement Hunter office, I'm greeted by all my best friends. Ray, Jack, Ryan, Lindsay, and...
Michael.
As I hug my friends, it occurs to me that they thought I was... well.. dead. My smile faulters, but I push the thought out of my mind. Better.
I sit down at my desk, leaning my crutches against the wall. Michael walks up behind me and wraps his arms over my shoulders and around my neck, bending down to be level with me as I sit.
'Hi, Gavin,' Is all he says before pecking my cheek and returning to his own desk. What that was about, I will never known.
But... I-I I love him back.
I love him.
