-Chapter 5-
*Jerome's POV

'Merome.' My mind kept repeating. 'Merome.' Is Merome a thing now? Is it real? I looked down at the sleeping Benja in my arms. 'I hope so.'
Rheanna and Sierra entered the house and sat on the other couch. "Hey!! So, is Merome real?" Sierra asked.
I shrugged. "I hope so." I whispered then smiled.
Rheanna handed me a piece of paper. Why she likes writing notes so much, I dont know. On the paper, it had a red heart with 'Merome Forever' written in the center in black, glossy ink.
"Thank you. I love it." I folded the paper and stored it in my pocket.
Rheanna handed me another piece of paper. Actually, it was a short book. "Read it when Mitch isn't around." Rheanna told me. I read the title of the book. 'A Guide on the One You Love' it said in gold letters.
"Thanks." I put the book on the couch next to me. "How long were you planning for Merome to happen?"
Sierra looked at Rheanna. Rheanna was blushing slightly. "Since I found out how worried you were when Mitch wasn't acting himself. I knew right then that you two liked each other." She giggled.
Mitch shifted in my arms. "H-hey Jerome. What.. What time is it?" He groggily asked, stretching.
"Hey baby. It's around noon. How'd you sleep?" I asked. I kissed his head, making him blush.
"Hey Mitch. I have a present for you." Sierra handed Mitch the book. "Read it when Jerome isn't around."
He put the book on his lap and his head on my chest. "Thanks. I'll be sure to read it."
"I'm going to go explore the forest more. You want to come with me Sierra?" Rheanna asked Sierra, standing up. Sierra nodded and the two girls walked out the house.
"Should we read the books?" Mitch asked. I nodded and he went and sat on the other couch.
"Why'd you go over there?" I asked.
Mitch shrugged. "Sierra said to read it when you're not around. This is as close to 'not around' as it'll get for a while."
He had a point. Picking up my book, I laid back on the couch and opened it. "Hi Jerome. Since Merome became a thing, I decided to write a small 'Guide' to Mitch. It's an easy way for you to learn more about him." The first page said. The book was only 3 pages long, but it only explained what his likes and dislikes were. Overall, the book actually seemed really useful.
Mitch was still reading the book Sierra gave him when I finished the book Rheanna gave me.
*Mitch's POV
The book Sierra gave me, titled 'A Guide to the One You Love', was filled with information about Jerome, but mostly his likes and dislikes. The book was around 5 pages; 2 of the pages being an intro and closing and 3 of the pages filled with information.
When I finished reading, I sat up on the couch and looked over at where Jerome was sitting. He was looking at me, but he seemed to be daydreaming. I got up, careful not to disrupt his dream. I walked to the kitchen and pulled out a raw fish, a raw steak, a raw pork chop, and a raw chicken from the fridge. I arranged them on a plate so I had room to put a cookie in the center. In the book, it said that Jerome likes raw food and cookies, so I thought I would surprise him.
I picked up the plate and carried it to the living room. Jerome was rereading something in his book. "Hey dood. I have a surprise for you. Close your eyes." I called out to Jerome before I carried the plate in. I silently put the plate on the coffee table and told Jerome to open his eyes.
"My favorite foods!!" Jerome gasped, smiling. "How did you know?" I simply pointed to my book. "Ah. I see." He nodded, picking up and taking a bite of the raw fish.
I yawned. "I'm going to take another nap. Wake me when you need me." I waved at Jerome. I walked to my room and crawled into bed. Snuggling with the blankets, I fell asleep, dreaming about Jerome.
