Chapter 27 ~ The Set Up

Mez POV

3 days until the boys go back to Sydney and finish their tour.
Told you the days would fly past

Honestly, I'm really sad to see them go just because I've gotten to know them so much and we've all connected really well

So since tomorrow is the boy's last night in Melbourne, the 6 of us are all going out to dinner to spend their last night together

I cant imagine what Shelby and Ethan must being going through at the moment, long distance is tough
Same with Jasie and Jakob
I heard that they were a thing now too so its going to be hard for them as well
I honestly don't know how I'm going to cope without them around,
Especially Chris
He's helped me so much throughout all this, since he's been here for a while, things are really gonna change, he's taught me so much over the past few months and its amazing how much he cares

Lately, its been a bit awkward between us just because of what happened the other day, i don't know what my feelings for him at the moment but i do know is that i really well and truly love him, I'm just wondering if I'll ever get the chance to tell him or not

I just know that when he walks through those gates, I'm afraid that we many never see each other again

I take a deep breath and start to text Shelby what happened, knowing that she's gonna freak out

M - we nearly kissed...

S - OMG!!! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!?!?

M - yeah and now i don't know what to do

S - Mez you need to tell him

M - i cant, he has he's own life to worry about now

S - did you's actually kiss though?

M - No, Jake and Jasie came in just as we were about to

S - look, i know its hard to keep it to yourself but you cant let it eat you up inside, you'll regret it

M - yeh well how am i supposed to do that? You know how awkward it is between us now

M - Shelby what are you doing??

Shelby Pov

I rest my phone down on my bedside table as i start to think about this more

The only way that i can get the two of them together is to keep them in the same room for a while, where they cant leave

IF I CAN GET THEM BOTH TO GO DOWN TO CRUSTIES OR SOMETHING WITHOUT EACH OTHER KNOWING, THAT JUST MIGHT WORK.

i go into my messages and make a group chat with Ethan, Jasie, Jakob and i

S - so i have an idea that's so crazy it just might work

All 3 of them reply within a few minutes

(A/N : Jasie is just "J" and Jake is "JD" )

J - what is it?

E - whats up?

JD - spill

S - we have to find a way to get Mez and Chris together TONIGHT

S - DID YOU GUYS HERE WHAT HAPPENED??

JD - what?

S - they almost kissed

J - OMF REALLY WHEN??

S - the other day apparently, that's what I'm saying guys, haven't you noticed that they've been hiding their feelings from each other and being all down lately??

E - there's gotta be a way we can get them together

JD - but how??

S - well i was thinking that we could somehow set them up on like a date without them knowing

J - how are we supposed to do that??

E - how about I text Chris and ask him if he could meet us at crusties tonight and you do the same with Mez

JD - sounds like a plan

S - ill go ask Mez

E - ill text Chris

Ethan Pov

E - hey bro, Jake and i are going to Crusties tonight. Wanna come?

C - yeh sure, what time?

E - 7:30

C - ill be there, see ya later mate

E - oh yeh and don't tell Mez or the others, they might get upset

C - whatever you say mate, cya

Shelby Pov

S - aye Jasie and i are going to crusties tonight if you wanna come??

M - anything to get out of the house so yeh okay, what time?

S - around 7:30 and don't tell the boys about this, we don't want them to think that we're happy to see them go

M - cool, ill see you later then

I go back into the group chat letting the others know that Mez is going to Crusties tonight

I just really hope this works, i hate seeing them both so down because they're both afraid of hurting each other or not having the same feeling for one another. Well, i don't know about them but i can definitely see the spark between Chris and Mez

Seconds later i get a message from the group chat

E - Chris is going

S - so is Mez

JD - what do we do now?

J - just sit back and relax, it'll sort itself out

S - the set up is in motion
