Chapter 28 ~ The Unexpected

Mez POV

I watch to see my message go through to Shelby

Apparently Her, Jasie and I are going out to dinner tonight but i can see straight through the both of them that something isn't right

I stand up from the couch and walk through into the kitchen where i see. Chris staring into space whilst sitting up on the counter top

Something isn't right with him either

I walk up to where he's sitting I'm beside him, just in the space between us

I look up into his beautiful brown eyes and gaze at them

I really love his eyes, i could stare at them for hours and hours and completely get lost in them

He looks so restless, sitting up there
He doesn't show any physical contact or affection, its like he doesn't even know I'm there

"are you okay?" i speak up

He doesn't reply

I gently nudge his thigh signaling for him to answer my question

"hhm? Uh yeh I'm fine" he lies
I can often tell when people lie, i know from experience. I decide to let this one slide and walk up to my bedroom

Half way through the hallway, i feel an arm gently grab mine and a familiar voice speak up

I turn my focus towards the voice who so happened to be Chris

"Mez, about the other day I" he speaks up, looking directly into my eyes

"you don't have to say anything Chris" i cut him off

He stops and stares at me, not knowing what to say

"I'm sorry" he says, turning his gaze away from me and looking down at the floorboards beneath us

"don't be" i say as i give him a little smile and begin to walk to my room. That causes Chris to smile like a little dork but i find it extremely cute ❤

He lets go of my arms, allowing me to go to my room

It just hit 7:00 so i decide to jump in the shower really quickly to get myself refreshed and ready for my outing

I step into my bathroom and turn the shower on
I slowly get undressed and step in

As I'm washing my hair with shampoo, i feel the hot drops of water clash down onto my skin, hitting every single scar i had left on my body

I know it was a while ago the last time i hurt myself but to be honest with you, it still really hurts

After rinsing out the last of the conditioner in my hair and lightly washing my pale body, i step out of the shower and wrap the long white towel around me

I change into my outfit that ill be wearing tonight which was, black skinny jeans with a black long sleeve crop top along with a nice pair of high heel boots

I quickly dry and straighten my hair and apply a little bit of make up on

I walk out of my bathroom and back into my room
I grab my phone, keys and wallet from my dresser and begin to walk to the front door
I remind myself halfway down the stairs Chris cant know where I'm going but i still reckon this is bullshit. I tiptoe down the stairs as quietly as i can but when i'm down on the last step, i look around and see that Chris isn't there
I quietly walk through the front door and close it, locking it behind me

I start walking over to Crusties which is only a good 10 minute walk from here
