I wake up to my own loud scream in my ears. By the moment I feel sorry for Joss. But today is no pounding at my door and I can not hear her. And so I get up and walk into the bathroom to take a shower. I hurry and dry my hair before I take some clothes on. Skinny, light blue jeans, black sneakers, the only pair that looks new, and a plain white top with a navy blue blazer. I make my hair into a pony tail and then smile at myself in the mirror before I go into the kitchen to get some food. The moment I sit down to eat the cereals Joanna comes into the kitchen and I have to stare at her outfit one more time. I can not get used to what she wears. This is just so unknown. This time it is a leggings made up of leather together with a black, a bit oversized top which had very big holes for the arms so that you can see her hips. But she wears a bandage top around her breasts so that you can not see them but her hips, her tummy and her back. On her feet are black winter boots but the last two holes for the laces are not used, instead the laces are wrapped around her ankles and then made into the normal loop. She grins at me with her smoky eyes straight looking at me.

“If that wasn’t you, I would probably be afraid of you” I let her know and she grins.

“So, what are we going to do today?” she asks me.

“It is Monday. I have to work and call my brothers in because I still need a car in a matter of fact” I let her now “and I want to go shopping and get some new things for my new work.”

“So you will be gone all day?” she asks me and I nod yes.

“Can we at least go shopping together?” she questions and I press my lips together. I am sure we will only look like clowns again, but it will be fun. I hope so. And I have a good idea.

“Let’s take Connor with us then” I suggest and Joss nods yes immediately.

“So we have someone who can drive us around” she laughs and I roll my eyes.

Joss always grins like an idiot when she is about to plan things. “I will show you my favorite cafeteria. I love it there. I work there, that may be the reason for my love.”

I smile. “You work in a cafeteria?”

She nods. “Yes, I do. But in the kitchen. I do not work as a waiter. I uhm.. I do not really fit into that job. In nothing that has to do with people. But behind the scenes I’m one of the best for sure.”

Leastways she is convinced from herself. Good to know.

“Do you’ve got Connor’s number?” she wants to know.

“I guess so” I nod yes and then take my stuff and my laptop and walk over to the door. “I need to leave now. I hope I will make it and see you later.”

“See you and good luck on your first day” she grins and then I leave her on her own.

I walk outside the flat and then jump into the car. And I can not believe that it is Harper Collins himself who is picking me up. I grin at him and he smiles lightly.

“So you made the way down here yourself to get me to the publishing house?” I ask him.

Harper Collins grins. “I wanted to be the first one to have a look at you, when you wake up, but I noticed there was someone faster than me.”

I nod. “Joss is a nice girl. Oh, today I am not in old clothes.”

Collins smiles. “I noticed, fits you. Maybe I will make you wear heels.”

“Uh, I can not walk on them” I reply awkwardly and shrug my shoulders.

He shakes his head. “We will change that. Does your flat mate have any heels?”
“Absolutely yes and I can tell you now that I have no idea how to ever walk on them” I say and shake my head no. “She wants me to try.”
