yuri absolutely loathed being ignored. literally. he hated it when someone stops listening to him, or when someone walks away from him. because it would only make him feel like he said something wrong, or he wasn't worth their time. he hated it when he's alone and everyone else was talking to each other, because it only made him feel even lonelier.

sure, he was always on his phone, or listening to music, or playing games. he wasn't really enjoying himself, you see.

he felt like skating is the only thing that would make him worth talking to. perhaps it was his aura that makes people stay away from him. perhaps it was his way of talking, or maybe his wordings... he wasn't really sure anymore.

he felt like skating is the only thing that could make anybody understand him. he had to be better at this, in order for people to understand him more and make him more worth their time.

he didn't care if his mother wasn't there anymore.

but as he was getting better, he was also feeling lonelier. he wanted someone to keep talking to him even if he pushed them numerous times.

unlike viktor, yuri was a lower level. yuri didn't know how to converse properly or smile, because unlike viktor, yuri had zero confidence.

if someone would be so persistent, that even after getting insulted, yelled or pushed by yuri, and would still be there...

yuri would love and appreciate them endlessly, and he'd be forever grateful to have met a friend like them.
