That Escalated Quickly

*****

Two months later, everyone is still in shock. Well, not everyone, but enough people to spot Ross in a crowd. And not just those who follow him on the media. He's been on the news, for God's sake. How could he not be, being raised from the dead? He's been a huge topic for discussion and still is, as well as a target for interviews. He refused any interviews, which I'm alright with. I wouldn't want to be asked about something like this either.

"Is this a prank? A joke?"

"How?? He was legitimately buried!"

"One of the few resurrections I know of was Jesus' raising of Lazarus... And that was thousands of years ago.."

Some people are happy he's alive. Some people think he should be dead. Some think he could be an angel sent down from Heaven. Or a demon from Hell.

Ross' friends and family were shocked as expected. But they eventually came to accept the facts, like most other people did. Ross isn't just a guy on the internet anymore; he's the one risen from the dead. Him of all people. Who would've thought?

Funny thing is, Ross acts like this never happened. He continues to make videos, only on a new channel; YourPalRoss. He goes out into public without fear of being noticed. He ignores the stares from strangers. When he's asked about the situation, he simply says, "I'm not sure how or why I'm here, but I'm happy I have the chance to breath again."

What pisses me off is some of the extremists out there. Sometimes, when Ross is out in public, people will give him dirty looks. Maybe even shout at him with "Freak!" or "Demon!" Hell, a few teens found out where we lived and threw random objects at our door, particularly rocks. They were busted by the cops, but even the police officials looked hesitant to help.

Yet that doesn't nor ever will keep Ross locked in the closet. It's something very few people have the courage to do, what with how judgemental society can be. So.. Why not take him out somewhere? It'd been so hard for him, even if he can ignore.. Why not take his mind off of it all by maybe going out somewhere. It sounds stupid when you think about it, but.. What's life without a little risk? I could maybe even confess to him.

Maybe.

I decide to ask Tim for any advice on this. He's not exactly one to go out with another person alone, but he's the only one who knows my about my love interest. Plus, he'd probably better at this than me. He's less antisocial than I am.
