Todd had been right. The sick bastard had actually told the truth when he said those words. I would never get away from him, no matter how hard I've tried.
The therapy wasn't working, and neither were the meds. The fact that he was supposedly dead wasn't even getting through to me. Why? Why wasn't anything working?
Three weeks. Three weeks! They've gone by like a whirlwind. Part of the problem was that his name was always coming up in one way or another. First the cops' questions, then reporters, then the psychiatrist, now the therapist...
I wasn't able to get away from Todd Delozier. And, wherever he was, I could so imagine him laughing at the fact that he consumed me.
After all this time, I felt ashamed that he was still winning.
