Bear's POV
I felt a prod in my haunch and I lifted my head. "What," I mumbled, still groggy from seeds that Abyss had given me.
"We have to go," murmured Baghera as she forced herself to her paws. "The sun has already risen and today is the day Dr. Thaylus will proceed with his plan to poision the dog food and kill the Oaks."
"Then we have to move," I replied as I turned to Abyss. "Thank you so much for everything Abyss. I owe you one."
The lynx dipped his head. "No problem city dog," he teased before he twitched his whiskers. "However you both better hurry."
Baghera purred and touched her nose to Abyss's ear. "I love you brother and I hope to see you again."
He nodded and lifted a paw. "Follow the scent of your master Bear. I think then you'll find Baghera's old master."
I didn't need to be told twice. With renewed strength in my neck I was ready to fight Dr. Thaylus and save Reese and Finch.
"Let's bolt!"
I surged forward with Baghera trailing after me, ready for a fight.
