When the book usually have self harm or suicide thoughts.
Example: "I just want to kill myself," I mumbled as I looked at my scars.
Why This Is Annoying: No. This even isn't a cliche. This is just freaking sad. And it makes me like really fucking mad. especially if they make it sound cool or romantic. It really not. Scars are a call for help. The brain makes you think that people won't care if you end your life and THAT FUCKING SUCKS.
How To Fix This: Please don't make it sound cool or make it romantic. Just let the MC get help. Instead of people thinking it is cool to cut how about them going to therapy? Get help from Family and Friends that actually care? Make them feel like they don't need to hurt themselves don't need to disappear but that they actually need to stay in the work?
