I feel my phone buzz under my hand on the bed. I open my eyes and see the light pouring through the motel windows. I go to sit up slowly but I am pulled back into a bare chest by muscular arms. The vague memories of last night filly brain as the body shifts and squeezes me tighter. "Y/n, stay just a little bit longer." I didn't remember his name but only by his kindness. I know his name started with an 'S' but I wasn't sure if it was Sal, Sam, or Sebastian. He obviously knew my name and I was starting to feel bad for forgetting his. "I'm sorry, but I have to go."

I took his arms off around my waist and started pulling on my underwear, bra, my royal blue dress and black heels from last night. As I put on my last heel, I heard the bed shift behind me. I grabbed my phone and purse off the bed and floor then I went to reach for the door handle. "Y/n wait, I thought we really hit it off last night? You said it was amazing. Why are you in such a rush to leave? Was I really that bad? The man with the long hair asked worringly.

"Listen, I'm sorry okay. I can barely remember what happend last night. I can't even remember your name." I looked at the time on my phone. "Look, if you wanna talk come by the diner on spruce st later today. I have to go, I'm sorry again." Just like that I was walking towards the bar that was two blocks away, digging my car keys out and driving towards my house.

I got out of the car and started walking towards the door. The door opened before I could reach for the handle. "Mommy!" I smiled and picked up my four year old son. I brushed his hair out of his eyes and kissed all over his chubby baby face. "How's my favorite guy? How Jack today? Where is Aunt Lucy?" He kissed my cheek and started running towards the kitchen. "Hey Luce, how was last night? Was he good for you?" I asked my sister as she made breakfast for Jackson. "Oh he was just perfect. Jackson why don't you go get your pictures that you drew for mommy?" He smiled wildly and started running up the stairs.

I set my purse on the counter and grabbed a banana. I peeled the top and started eating it. "How was your last night Y/n? Considering you didn't come home last night, I suppose it was a good one." Lucy said while cleaning off the counter. "I can barely remember what happened last night. Lucy I forgot what his name was. Oh my... I feel terrible for just leaving him like that. He was so amazing, so sweet. I'm pathetic." I said as I sat down and put my hand on my head. "You're not pathetic. You were just.. shitfaced." She began chuckling under her breath. A smile formed on my face as I realised how shitfaced I actually was. Moments of last night seeped unto my mind.

"Hi I'm Sam. Can I buy you a drink?" He asked as he took the seat next to me. "Sure Sam." I said smiling at him. He raised his hand towards the bartender who brought over two beers. "I'm Y/n. So what are you doing here tonight?" I asked as he handed me another beer. As I took a long swig my vision became blurry. "My brother and I live a few states away and decided we needed a vacation so here we are. Why are you siting here all alone?" His smile was bright. His eyes were soft. His voice sent shivers down my spine. "Well Sam if you must know I'm a local and I just needed a night out." He smiled again, he took a sip of his beer.

A little hand tugging on my dress woke me from the moment. I looked at Jack as he handed me some pictures. "I drew these last night mommy. Aren't they wonderful?" He asked while he climbed onto the chair next to me. I looked at the first picture, it was a sail boat on the sea. The second was of a lion named Bob. The third was of Myself, Jackson.. was that Sam and two other people? Or should I say one other person and a black shadow. I looked at Lucy and handed her the third picture. "Did he show you this one?" She shook her head no, "Jackson, you didn't show me this one. When did you draw this one?"
