Time skip 2 years. Luna is 18
Luna's POV:
After 2 years my training was not complete but I still had to get more experience in this world before I could go outside the barrier then again it may be even longer before I can go out because of my heritage. I didn't mind though, I had gotten used to staying in the barrier. Jack hadn't shown up again and I started to feel as if the darkness was fading from me. Part of the didn't want it too another part wanted it gone. But I knew it would never be truly gone. I heard feet running up to me. "Hey Luna," Josh said.
"Hello." He was basically going to be my mentor now so my parents could get a little rest and attend to their own matters.
"Ready to start training."
"Not really training anymore is it?" I asked.
"Well no and yes." I followed him to a series of dummies. "It's just more combat skills."

I fired air blasts at the dummies until Josh was confident I could do that without even thinking. He then stood in front of me and made me block air attacks and then flame attacks. He then made me fire them at the dummies whist he imitated the dummy blocking the blasts so I could learn how to work around it. I hit the dummy in the legs with earth by stomping my foot on the ground and trapping its 'legs' Josh stopped blocking as if the dummy got distracted and I fired at fire ball at it. "Good work," your learning this fast. I smiled at him. I felt that thing again suddenly, I felt the darkness come back. I looked past Josh a little bit and I heard whispers as if something was calling me to the outside of the barrier. "Do you hear it too?" Josh asked.
"Thank god it wasn't just me," I thought.
"The Darkness rises, the Darkness comes for you, the Darkness will have you," the whispers chanted over and over.
"Just ignore them this happens from time to time. Actually I'm surprised you haven't had any nightmares yet." Josh said. I shrugged.
"Got lucky I guess. Or maybe it was because of my grandfather that I'm not really effected by the Darkness because it's a part of me in some ways."
"Don't say it's a part of you, you begin to believe it and then you become a child to it. Think you are part of the light and you will be it, think you are a part of the Darkness and you will be it. Look we are done for the day go home. We will continue in two days." I nodded and headed home.

I got up in the night and walked to the barrier I didn't go near it I stood back a good arms length. I waited, I wanted Jack to show up again. But it wasn't Jack. "Mark?" I questioned when the red haired figure stepped out from the dark smoke.
"What were you expecting Jack?" He said giving off and evil smile, he seemed worse than Jack more consumed by the darkness.
"Sort of yeah. Anyway I'm still happy to see you."
"Are you just," he said smiled evilly at me.
"You're my friend of course I'm happy to see you."
"But I killed Jack's family, I killed them all."
"I know."
"Do you just?" He tilted his head to the side.
"Honestly it doesn't bother me, it feels as if I was there I would have helped."
"Oh really," he smiled and raised his eye brows.
"Look I know what your doing, you want me to step closer so you can pull me through. Well I don't want to leave. I can feel the Darkness yes, and whenever you or Jack are around I can feel it much more strongly. But I'm not going out there to join Jasper."
"Don't join him then join us," Mark said speaking softly.
"Us?" I questioned.
"Jack and I. Take this land from Jasper, rule it for ourselves." I narrowed me eyes and thought about it.
"I'll see you in a few years when me leaving won't seem suspicious," I said. He smiled and stepped back into the dark cloud.
"I'll find you when the time comes." He disappeared and I walked back to my house and lay down in my bed closing my eyes. To sleep.

Jack's POV:
Mark returned. "She agreed."
"You didn't force her?" I questioned.
"Oh Jack you still have a soft spot for Luna, of course I didn't force her I just gave her a gentle nudge."
"You still have a soft spot for her too I can see it in you."
"No I don't," Mark said sternly turning to me.
"Then why did you go see her?"
"You told me your plan, you said you were afraid you would fall so I went for you."
"I didn't ask you too, I was going to but I saw you there and came back here. And I told you my plan 4 days ago."
"Don't ever tell Jasper."
"What that you still like her as a friend," I said smiled evilly.
"Love makes you weak," Mark said.
"Or maybe it makes you stronger and he was just hiding that so we weren't distracted, so we would do things for him."
"You boys not plotting against me are you?" Jasper said coming out of the darkness.
"A knock would be nice first," Mark said crossing his arms.
"Oh but you should know by now I don't do nice." He touched his finger to our foreheads. A black smoke curled around his arm and into our foreheads. I closed my eyes and winced my whole body tensed. "Now stop getting your other side thoughts and bring back those dark ones." I opened my eyes again and it had begun to shrink back into the dark. I looked at Mark and he smiled at me I returned that smile.
"Love is for the weak, Luna is weak she must die," Mark said.
"Most definitely."
