Whispers in the Darkness

Chapter 7

Soz for all the time skips just they are like 2 year jumps and that's hard to think of good and interesting things to keep putting and it would be a long ass story too (ain't no body got time for that). Only 2 more jumps after this one then it's just constantly story.

Time skip 2 years. Luna is now 20
Luna's POV:
With my training officially complete I could do whatever. The elders still wouldn't let me out of the gates. I didn't see what the big problem was but apparently they could feel the darkness radiating off of me. They said they would wait 2 more years and I had to stay indoors for basically that whole time only allowed out to get some sunlight. I hadn't seen Mark or Jack in that time but this time the darkness within me wasn't fading. I became more frustrated causing it to stay with me. My dad had to go out to collect resources with another but mum had to stay to 'look after me' I hated how they treated me like a child that needed to be looked after at all costs and not allowed outside because they could be taken over by the Darkness.
"Stop moping around I need some help with stuff," mum said.
"But I apparently can't leave the house." I crossed my arms sitting on the couch.
"I need some help in the farms, the elders said as long as you were with me things would be alright." I sighed and got up. I changed my clothes into something a little more appropriate for getting in the dirt.

The farms were near the barrier. "Don't go contacting any of your friends out there," mum said to me joking. I just stared at her annoyed. "Not in the mood for jokes hey?"
"No," I said blatantly and picked up the box of seeds and began planting them. Mum walked to the other row with a different type of plant and began plating those. When I was done I watered them all which was much easier than planting them as I could just use my powers.
"Nice all done for now," mum said wiping her hands. I started to walk back home all I wanted to do was just lie down. No one trusted me which frustrated me immensely.
"Hey no missy you wait for me," she said.
"Mum I'm not a kid. Can you at least trust me."
"Luna it's not about me not trusting you it's about you not getting more of a restriction and me not getting in trouble. I have full faith that you will go straight home and not cause any troubles but I don't want the elders deliberately saying shit just because you walked home without me." I nodded. Mum looked at her watch. "Your father should be back it was a quick expedition to get wood." I saw something in the distance, I squinted my eyes to see it better.
"It's a guy running," I said. The guy dropped at the gate it was the guy that was with dad. They opened the gates and he ran in. His eyes burnt out black smoke covering them.
"THEY KILLED HIM!!" He shouted running frantically around. "THEY KILLED HIM!!" He ran up to mum pulling on her shirt. "THEY KILLED HIM!!" He shouted at her. The man slid down as mum tried to step back his eyes smoking as if they had been burnt out. "They killed him!" He said quieter as he slid to the floor. His head jerked and he looked at me his voice turned demonised. "Sweet child, sweet angel. Angel of Darkness. THEY KILLED HIM!!!" He shouted at me. The man launched himself at me grabbing ahold of my shirt. I tried to step back but I just ended up dragging him along. "THEY KILLED HIM!!" He shouted at me again.
"Luna come away," mum said.
"Who killed who?" I asked.
"THEM!!" He said and pointed out to the gates where no one was.
"Who did they kill?" I asked.
"Luna stop talking to him he is insane."
"Your father Luna your father, your father, your father." He continued to say your father over and over again as he slowly let go of my shirt.
"Who killed him!" I said more sternly.
"Luna come away he is lost to the insanity of the darkness he couldn't handle it," mum said trying to pull me away.
"Who! Who killed him!" I bobbed down and grabbed the man's arm he let out a horrific scream and a dark smoke curled down his arm. I tried to let go but he dug his fingers into my arm holding on tight I couldn't get him off.
"Luna! Let go!" Mum shouted trying to pull me away. The guy spoke in the demon voice again. "You're a child, a child to the Darkness. Don't try to hide it you have known all along. I'll see you soon my child." The dark circled onto my arm and I felt the guys grip loosening. His eyes were fading out the black going away. He let go of my arm and the dark smoke was still curling around it.
"Luna get rid of it right now," mum said terrified stepping back. I felt it go into my eyes it pierced them but it didn't feel pain. I looked to the gate and saw Jack and Mark standing there both smiling evilly. That's who the guy was pointing to. I saw their eyes fully black like a demons. Jack waved at me and then they both disappeared into a black smoke. "LUNA!" I heard my mum yelling. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I turned to her and she had her hands out as if ready to kill me. When she saw I was ok she ran up hugging me. I didn't hug her back my arms fell limp at my sides. "I'm so glad it didn't control you. Maybe you being as you are was beneficial," she said into my ear. I smiled.
"Oh but I was already gone, long ago," I said in my head. I hugged her back so she wouldn't suspect anything.

The elders called for a meeting that night. They inspected me and said they felt no more traces of darkness in me than before. They banned all people from going outside the gates because Mark and Jack were killing everyone. They wanted to wait until they were 100% sure they were gone. They would never actually be gone.
