Time skip 2 years. Luna is now 24. Last time skip.

Luna's POV:
Many people passed me looking at me as they passed. The elders decided it would be good for me if they put my cell out in the open where everyone could see me. Mistake on their behalf too. I waited 2 years for them to do something stupid. Like let their guard down. I was good to trick them not because I wanted to. I had one of two options. Go into the normal human world reek havoc or go find Mark like I said I would 4 years ago. I thought about how far I had come since 16. 8 years ago. Spending 2 years in a glass cell seemed so confining. They thought it would make me better but it just made me more frustrated.

The sun began to go down, I saw outside the barrier Mark, as if he was waiting for me. I couldn't use magic within this cell so it was no use to even try I couldn't get out I just had to wait until they let me.

The sun came up and an elder came to the door. "The elders have spoken and you are to be released, we think you have served enough time to be one with the light again." I stood up and smiled trying to look sincere. This was my chance now. "You may return to the house you were living in before, it may be a bit dusty."
"Thank you," I said. He must have been new to the elder job because he seemed scared of me. Once again I waited inside for night to fall.

It seemed to take forever for the sun to go down and then I had it wait an extra 4 hours to make sure everyone was asleep and just before the guards shifted so the ones on duty would be tired and hopefully not notice me. I got up out of bed grabbing my backpack, a bottle of water and some food just in case it took me a while to find Mark and Jack and clothes, not that I'd be able to have a shower anywhere really. I walked to the barrier, I looked up to see the guards they were too busy looking outwards to notice me on the inside. I placed my hand up against the barrier pushing through it. Great protection. But then again it wasn't meant to keep people out, or in, it was just for the Darkness. Outside the barrier seemed so different to what I expected. Even in the dark of the night I saw the looming castle in the distance with a dark smoke swirling around its top. I took a breath and felt the power of the Darkness flow into me. "Welcome my child," I heard a whisper from across the large plains. I didn't know where to go nor did I know how to do the teleport with the smoke as I didn't know any places outside the barrier. I looked up to the guards and they were changing so I made a run for it. I didn't stop running until I was far enough away from the barrier that they wouldn't notice me. It didn't take long. The castle still seemed the same distance away as it was before. Maybe I could see it because it was like a marker type. Or maybe it was just huge. I took a sip of my water and continued walked towards the castle. I didn't know why I wanted to walk towards it, I didn't know why I thought it was a good idea. I just did.

The sun began to rise as I walked the castle didn't seem to be getting any closer I had been walking for hours. "That's just an illusion you can't actually get to it by walking," I heard a voice say behind me. I turned to see Mark. "You finally managed to make it out." He didn't seem like what I saw when my father died he seemed like what I saw when I met him for the first time in years.
"I was able to actually get out."
"Kill anyone along the way." He shoved his hands in his pockets.
"No one to kill."
"You could have killed the elders in their sleep."
"Too easy not much of a fight." He smiled at me and held out his hand.
"Don't worry I'm not taking you to the castle. Jasper hates you, wants you dead. Jack and I relocated he doesn't know where." I took his hand but I had to ask one more question.
"You seemed different when you killed my father, why?"
"He possesses us to do what he wants, that's why we relocated so he can't find us." The dark smoke consumed Mark then traveled up my arm and consumed me. I felt like I was floating through dark clouds.

When the smoke cleared I was in the lounge room of a run down house. It still had 4 walls and a roof which worked it just looked all dark. "This used to be a house that belonged to a village much like the one back there. The Darkness consumed it before anyone could escape." I looked at him with curiosity.
"You seem different from the dark Mark I met ages ago."
"Your not dark now are you despite being able to control an Adapts power." I looked at my hands.
"I guess not."
"As I said he controls us makes us do things. But we can't exactly go back to the village our fate will be the same as you almost got. Insanity or death."
"Why did you run and not just make excuses?"
"We were scared. 13 and 14 year olds realising they are holding bloody knives and controlling the darkness when everyone says you can't control any sort of magic until 16. It's slightly worrying."
"I suppose. Where's Jack?"
"Distracting Jasper so I could get you in here."
"Why does he want me dead?"
"He thinks you will be too hard to control. Jack and I are learning though. We did not kill your mother that was Jasper himself, because we weren't being controlled by him anymore so he just went and did it."
"So your neutral in a sense?" I asked.
"In a sense yes. Well we were never evil. We were always how you feel now. Like we don't belong anywhere, we go to Jasper he has to control us to make us evil. We go to the village and the elders and they throw us in a small glass cell causing us to lose our sanity. We hang out in the Nothing and we are where we belong." I belong with them. I didn't belong anywhere either. No one wanted me except for Mark and Jack the only two people who actually did.
