Why Do You Have These Scars?

                        Emily woke up about ten minutes later. I carried her to my bed and said, "I'm going to go get you some water and food. You're going to stay here because if you run away again I'm just going to catch you again so there's no use." I hated saying that, it made it sound like  I was keeping her prisoner. I didn't want her to think that or feel that way but right now I had to do what's best for her and if that's making sure she doesn't run away then so be it.

                        I tucked her into my bed and walked to the door and gave her one last look as I ran down the stairs as fast as I could to grab a bottle of water and make some toast for her. I came back up with everything on a tray. I knocked on the door and said, "Are you decent?" "W-what?" "Well I made you a very special breakfast and I wanted to deliver it to you so you could enjoy it in bed!" I said trying to mimic what she did to me the day after Marzia broke up with me.

                            She dryly laughed and said, "I see what you did there." I brought her the tray and watched her eat and drink. Once she was done I said, "Do you feel better now?" "Yes" "Good, now I don't care if you don't want to but you have to tell me what happened and why." She sighed and shook her head meaning that she didn't want to. But I urged her once again and that's when she finally agreed.

                            She then told me that back home she had been raped multiple times by her foster brothers and physically abused by her foster sisters as well. How could anyone do anything so terrible to Emily. Shes just the nicest and sweetest person I've ever met. She's so caring and selfless and just how could so many people just spit her down then hurt her just for what? Satisfaction? That's horrible just thinking about someone hurting her makes my anger boil. I wanted to punch them all as hard as I could. However they weren't there so punching a hole in the wall would suffice.

                            Right as I was about to get up, walk over to the wall, and unleash my fists of fury upon it, that's when my five step breathing technique stepped in. I had previously been to anger management since I have beaten up many people (Who deserved it). No matter how much someone may deserve it though it's still not technically doing the "right" thing.

                           Anger management was nice and all I mean it took place on this private beach where you made new friends and took different "classes" of therapy for a month. I was infuriated to go at first but it was actually very helpful. It had a lot to do with facing the problem heading on and finding out what will fix it. And I guess that attitude was very good to have especially now that I have to help Emily get through this.

                          "What are you doing?" She asked while looking at me weirdly. I just had to circulate my breathing throughout my body which took a lot of concentration so that probably made me look pretty insane. "That was my breathing exercise that I learned in anger management." Her jaw dropped, she then realized that I may have considered that rude but had still looked at me in shock. "Yes I went to anger management, I had some anger issues and my close friend loved me enough to send me away. I was pissed at first to go. But after I had made a deal with her saying that after a week if I didn't like it I could come back no questions asked but after the very first day I was in love with the place."

                          "I had no idea you have anger issues..."

                        " I HAD anger issues but after a month or so of therepy it helped me cope and come up with some techniques that are better and more safe."

                       "I think it's really cool you were able to get through that."

                       "Ya, me too. Emily this is never easy to say but, what your doing isn't healthy for your body and your emotions and you need help. I will always be here for you but I won't be enough for you to actually heal. What you need is therapy, someone who knows about all the emotions you experience will be happy to talk with you about everything and help you teach some coping methods for when you feel like your about to fall of the edge."

                     She looked like she was taken back. "I don't know. Felix, no one has ever been able to stop me from cutting before, how did you do it?" "Just a trained reflex and understanding I think." She nodded her head and it looked like she was deeply considering it which is awesome. It will help her greatly. "Well, I could give it a try. Whenever I do cut it ends up being a burden on others which is never what I intend." My face lit up, I was so happy for her. When she comes back she won't feel this pain anymore, it will feel like a weight being lifted off her shoulder.

                        "I'll set up a date for as soon as possible?"

                           "Ok."

                      "I also wanna say that, I think it's awesome that you're going. However I feel that right now we shouldn't continue things as a relationship, but as friends until you get back. SO you won't have to worry about anything or anyone except yourself. However, when you get back if you want to continue things, then I will be very happy. If you don't, I will understand."

                      She smiled and hugged me. "Thank you Felix."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Author's Note~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
       Hope you guys enjoyed that chapter! I'm going to be doing a time skip to after Emily comes back from a therapy vacation place and all of her depression isn't fixed, but is easier to deal with.
       I also believe that within the next like two chapters I'm going to bring Ian and Anthony back into Emily's life. Just not in the way she would've thought. mwahahhahah.
