"Aunt Mione, what happened to Mommy?"
Scorpius Malfoy sat on the floor of the Weasley/Granger household, very confused and a bit upset.
"I don't know, darling. Your mommy will be okay, alright?" She said sorrowfully, squeezing the small chubby hand in encouragement.
Scorpius nodded slowly, still not content with that answer.
"My mommy very strong." He said, sniffling and sitting up.
"Oh?" Hermione smiled down at the little boy.
"Mommy always kind, even when I broke a old vase. Mommy went through scary stuff, daddy told me some story's from when you guys weren't old. But Mommy doesn't look old...Mommy is beautiful. And mommy makes good food! And mommy never cries."
Hermione bit her lip, deciding not to tell Scorpius more about Draco, and instead just nodded.
"I only see mommy cry once," Scorp said, still playing idly with the toys in the floor as he spoke.
"That was when daddy hit mommy."
