Newt Imagine #6

You're sitting under a tree thinking about stuff and you didn't know how you went from how nice it is to have a day off to Newt. You liked him for quite some time now but you two are not really that close. You would talk to him sometimes because of Teresa, Thomas, and Minho but it was kind of awkward. You were snapped out of your thoughts by a very familiar voice. Newt's "Hey Y/N." You sat up straighter

"Looks like someone's in a good mood today," You said

"What are you doing here?"

"Nothing, I'm just bored working all day. You're lucky its your day off." He said

"Yeah." You mumbled. Both of you sat there in silence for about a minute

"Do you wanna play a game?" Newt finally asked

"Sure. It's pretty boring here so I don't have much of a choice." You said

"The name of the game is wild run. You run as fast as you can and I'll catch you." Newt explained

"You made that up didn't you? But okay. I'm a runner so it'll probably take time for you to catch me." You said

"Don't be so sure. You run first." Newt stood up and helped you.

You run before Newt even knew not caring if you bump into something or someone.Newt started chasing you.

"You cheater. I'll catch you." Newt said. He almost got you but you run faster

"I don't think so." Newt got really close and almost caught you. You tripped on a rock and fell. You started sitting up but Newt couldn't stop himself from running so he ended up falling on top of you which sent you lying back on the ground. He locked eyes with you for a few seconds

"Newt...uhm...you might want to get..." You didn't need to finish for him to understand. He sat up

"Oh sorry." He said. The both of you ended up laughing. It's so rare to see Newt happy. He's always serious

"I bet we'll get in trouble for this." You said

"Probably." You stood up and helped Newt get on his feet.

Both of you sit under a tree and just talk. At the middle of the conversation your eyes meet. He started to get close to you. You became a little bit nervous and didn't know what to do. Newt held you close to him and kissed you. You couldn't even think about anything else. Newt pulled away

"Y/N...Please would you be mine?" He asked

"So all this time...you liked me?"

'That is dumbest question you've ever asked.'  You thought

"Yeah...all this time." He's blushing but you bet that you are too

"Well, it's your lucky day." You said while holding his blonde hair

"Come here." You scooted closer to him

"I love you." Newt whispered to your ear "I love you too." You spend the rest of the afternoon sitting and cuddling.
