Sometimes Our Minds Work Against Us...

Chapter Twenty-Six: Leo Valdez; Crashing, Smiling, Breaking

Inspired by: Things We Lost In the Fire by Bastile

Light and heat, dancing and playing
Gray confetti flying, falling, with each step of the light
Crashing, Smashing, Breaking
With joyful smiling and laughing

Eyes Bright, reflecting the light
Skin redened, the heat an overbearing comfort
Smile widening, the flames spreading
Laugh cackling, the windows collapsing

Sirens wail, trying to douse the sounds of cackaling, crashing, confetti,Doors slaming, guns cocking, voices yelling

But all fall silent, to those pointed ears.

The matches fall from his hands,
Those dirty palms kneed into sweat damp curls,
A dirty knee falling to the floor,
Smiling, gleefully, as the third wall falls

A/n: So a short little tinny poem, and I'm working on Echo's chapter but it's a lot harder than this stuff, so as a compensation for another delay I'm posting another poem sort of thingy in a minute!
