Sometimes Our Minds Work Against Us...

Chapter Twenty-Seven; Revenge

AU Piper who takes dealing with her bullies in her own hands.

She is silent in her bed
As tears roll down with words unsaid.
She knows it's silly,
She's been told time & time before,
Don't tell tales, don't be a snitch.

Because, telling tales are for babies,
And 'he most certaintly did not say that to you, don't tell tales',
And the snitches get shot.

So she holds it all in, not saying a word. Unless for that poor inocent word be made fun, or told it's untrue.

But it's 'just a joke'.
So she has to 'get a sense of humor'
Because when they call her these names it's okay. It's 'just a joke'

But, she should never breathe it back.
Unless to have, 'WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!'
And, 'YOU'RE SO MEAN!'
Returned aback in voices raised.

So she does not breathe it,
These words in her head.
They're mean, cold, and nasty,
These words jumping inside her head,
Oh, yes, of course they are.

The words, the responces,
From years of being told,
"SHUT UP"

For years upon years, 'don't you tell a fib'
Yet, also, to never tell a'tall.
Nor, never say a word against another,
Because, "Well how would you feel?"

And one word replays in her mind, revenge

You laughed.
You chort, when the joke is not upon you.
Telling her, 'how silly are you'
'So stiff to the bone'
So you poke, so you chitter, laugh and tease

But one day, you'll be down on your knees
Begging her, please!

But all you'll hear,
The click of a tongue,
Or was that a gun?
And you'll know then, that now the table's reversed.
And it's not as funny anymore,
Because when your body is cooling,
All you'll hear,
"Oh, come on, get a sense of humor!"
