That entire week after Malcolm and Nikki started talking, life sucked major ass.
I was angry and hurt, and the only person who really noticed was Reese. He was also expecting it though.
"Hey, Jayde!" I heard a voice from behind where I was sitting in the school hallway.
I turned around and smiled as Reese ran up behind me.
"Hey," I said, turning back the other way.
"Hey," He said, shuffling his feet.
I noticed his uneasiness and immediately knew something was wrong.
"Reese. What's going on?" I asked.
"I had nothing to do with this, I promise," He said, taking my hand and pulling me up.
"Okay?" I said, extremely confused and slightly worried.
We walked to the hallway where Malcolm's locker was. I saw him talking to a blonde, which I immediately knew was Nikki.
"Yeah, so?" I asked Reese, looking up at him. "They've been talking for over a week no--"
And then my heart stopped.
And shattered into so many pieces, I didn't think it'd ever be fixed again.
Because there was my amazing boyfriend, who told me we were forever and always:
Kissing the girl I prayed to god he wouldn't.
