Jealous

Your P.O.V

We were walking down Route 5 on our way to Lumiose City. I thought Mairin was a clumsy person, but after a few hours, I learned she is a very clumsy person. She would run ahead and end up falling. It's a good thing Chespie is there to help her. I also notice Alain is very quiet, and I also think he isn't quite happy for me tagging along, judging by his 'fine'. I guess he's tired of Mairin and her clumsiness.

"Is Mairin always like this?" I asked Alain

"You have no clue" Alain replied

I laughed "To tell you honestly, I thought you were a type of person who rather likes being alone"

"Huh. Oh, Mairin just tagged along and she wouldn't leave me alone"

"Um, are you sure you want me to join you? I'm fine on traveling by myself. I don't want to feel like a burden to you" I said sounding disappointed

He scratched the back of his neck. "What? *coughs* I want you to join. I thought you could help me become a better trainer using mega evolution. Plus, there is another person that Mairin could annoy" I saw a blush on his face

"Okay. I promise to help you become a better trainer, if you could do the same thing for me" I stuck out my pinky

"Pinky promise" Alain said as he intertwined his pinky with mine

"Come on slowpokes. Stop flirting and hurry up" Mairin shouted

I saw Alain's face became a darker red. I also felt like my cheeks were heating up.

"Who are you calling slowpoke?" I replied to Mairin

I ran to Mairin. Mairin and I had a race. 

*A few minutes later*

I ran the farthest and fastest. Mairin got tired, so we stopped running. It was fun, except for the minor trips that Mairin had.

"That was fun" Mairin said

"I had fun too"

"You are much more fun than Alain"

"Thanks. Where is he anyway?" I panted

"I don't know. Probably trying to catch up"

"Let's take a break and wait for him here"

Mairin and I took a break. We took out our water jug and drank it. I released my absol and let him walk around. A few minutes have passed and Alain is nowhere to be seen.

"I think we should go back and look for him" I told Mairin

"Ok. I bet he's probably battling someone" Mairin said cheekily

"Does he always battle?"

"Yup"

We started walking back until we heard someone battling. We went around a corner, and we saw Alain battling with some girl. Mairin was right. The girl looked like one of those beauty trainers. She had her brunette hair in a bun. She had a mega Audino. Obviously, Alain battled with his trusty charizard. Mairin and I sat down and watched the battle.

*A few minutes* (author was too tired to write battle)

Alain won the match. Mairin grabbed my hand and brought us closer to Alain.

"Good job, Alain!" Mairin chirped

"Thanks" Alain replied

The beauty trainer went closer to us. She went too close to Alain, and I felt slightly mad or jealous or whatever this bitter feeling is.

"That was the most fun battle I had. You're a stronger trainer Alain" She said flirtatiously and she winked after.

The bitter feeling grew bigger. Why am I feeling like this?

"Thanks" Alain replied coldly. Strange

"Maybe you could teach me. Who are these people?" The girl pointed at us

Rude. Does she not know it's rude to point. I am so bitter. (hahahaha)

"Oh, I'm Mairin and this my partner Chespie" Mairin said happily

"Hi"

"And this is y/n and her absol"

"Nice to meet you" She stuck out her hand

I shook "Nice to meet you too" I tried to say it with joy

"My name is Cassandra (if your name is cassandra, you can change her name)   Is that a shiny absol" She tried to get closer to absol, but he hid behind my legs

"He's shy" I said sheepishly

"Okay. Are you the girlfriend of Alain?" She asked rather bluntly if you ask me

"What?"My voice became shrill *coughs to clear up voice* "No"

"Well then" She linked her arm around Alain's and walked somewhere. Mairin and I just followed. I should have said yes, I thought.

"Where are we going?" Alain asked

"It's almost lunch time, and I wanted to treat you for an amazing battle at my house, it's near. I hope you could teach me more moves in mega evolution" She said flirtatiously and winked

'Ughh to we have to follow he' I thought. Until I heard my stomach grumble. Fine, free food anyway. Why am I so mad? I'm not dating Alain or anything. I do have a developing crush on him. Wait, I shouldn't. I should focus and become champion of Kalos. Cassandra better not touch Alain. What does she want with him anyway? Can't she see we are in a journey. Just rude. I thought all of that in my head until we reached her house. I heard my absol growl trying to bring me back to reality.

"Thanks, bud" I muttered
