Chapter Twenty-Seven: Beside You

I woke up without Athena and Catty beside me. "Catty? Athena?" I yelled, my morning voice cracking. When no one answered, I went to my bathroom and took a bath.

My bathroom was all black and white. It has a black tub, a mirror with black frames, a black cabinet, a black chandelier on top of the tub, a black mat, and a glass cabinet beside the tub full of different bath scents and towels.

I know. Why black? I have no idea. It has always been like this but I love it. Anyway, back to the story.

After I took a bath, dried and brushed my hair, I went to find Catty and Athena. I looked at the chess room, throne room, dining room and kitchen but there's no signs from the two of them whatsoever.

I went to my mom and aunt's room. "Mom? Aunt?" I asked as I opened the door but no one was inside. I started thinking of where the four of them maybe. Then suddenly, I remembered.

It's picnic day!

"Gosh I'm so dumb." I said to myself as I started to go to the forest. When I arrived, I saw a huge blanket, a huge basket and a pitcher full of apple juice.

What confused me the most was that no one was there. "Guys? Are you here? Mom? Aunt?" I yelled. I looked around but still no signs of them being here.

"SURPRISE!" A loud yell caused me to turn around and punch the person behind me. That's when I saw Athena, Catty, my aunt and my mom looking at me.

I heard a groan and I looked at Athena which was on the floor groaning. "Oh my goodness Athena I'm so sorry!" I said and helped her get up.

"It's fine. It wasn't that -ouch- hard." Athena said while holding her stomach. "Here, let me help you with that." Aunt Rave said and placed his hand on Athena's stomach.

After a few seconds Athena smiled. "How? It doesn't hurt anymore." Athena asked. Aunt Rave chuckled and sat on the blanket. "I may be locked in the mirror but I still have my ability." Aunt Rave explained.

"So that means... Mom! You still have your ice powers?" I asked as the three of us sat down with aunt Rave. My mom smiled and placed his hand on the pitcher.

As the pitcher became colder and mom let go of it. "Wow. That's awesome." Catty whispered. My mom and aunt smirked and took burgers from the basket.

"NO. You have burgers here in the mirror?!?" Catty explained, utterly amazed in each second. "Well, yes. I made it myself. Want to taste it?" My mom asked.

Catty and Athena both nodded and took burgers. Even at the first bite their eyes widened. "O.M.G! This tastes like the burgers from minute burger!" Athena exclaimed and munched the burger in two.

All of us laughed and ate burgers. "May I ask, why the 'surprise' from earlier?" I asked. "Well, we just wanted to congratulate you for your achievement." My aunt replied.

"Achievement?" I asked. "You learned how to fight and protect yourself. We never even knew that you were a fast learner." Catty replied.

"Oh. Thank you. To be honest, the four of you are the best family that I could ever have in my life." I said. My mom hugged me and so did my aunt.

"GROUP HUG!!!" Athena yelled and they both attacked me with hugs. "Tickle fight!" I yelled back and started tickling my mom. Athena and Catty joined me too. She laughed and held her stomach.

"Stop! Please! Mercy! I -laughs- can take it anymore!" My mom yelled. Aunt Rave was just giggling while watching us tickle my mom.

I gave Athena and Catty a nod before attacking my aunt. "Oh my goodness! Stop this -aha- nonsense!" She yelled while giggling.

"Wow. I never knew Ravenna was ticklish." My mom said. "Well, now you know." I said and gave her a wink. "Let's take a rest." My mom offered.
The four of us nodded and sat back.

It was a few moments of peace and quiet. "Y/n, I just want you to know, the four of us will always be beside you. No matter what." My mom said, holding my hand.

I smiled and placed my head on her shoulder. "Thank you mom." I whispered. I looked at my aunt and asked, "Do you have a husband aunt Rave? I mean, every queen needs a king, right?" I asked.

My aunt sat near me, took my chin gently to make me look at her and caressed my cheek. "My dear niece, one thing you should know is that a queen doesn't need a king to rule a kingdome." My aunt said.

I nodded and sighed. "Am I supposed to be evil?" I asked her. She looked shock before hugging me. "One thing you should know is that you don't need to be evil like us." My aunt said.

"Your mother and I became evil because we wanted vengeance." She added. I hugged her back and yawned. "It's always a choice. No one is good nor evil. It's always a choice." She whispered. I closed my eyes and felt myself go to the dreamworld.

3RD PERSON

After Y/n fell asleep on Ravenna's chest, Freya took her and placed her in her arms. The four of them decided to go back to the castle and put Y/n back on her bed.

Ravenna and Freya invited Athena and Catty to have a little chat with them in their room. They finished their chat when they noticed that it was already night.

Catty and Athena didn't bother to wake Y/n up and slept beside her. What they didn't know was that Y/n was awake and she took them and her arms.

Y/n kept smilling to think of having such perfect sister-like friends and a perfect mother and aunt. But her smile disappeared when she remembered something.

They're going back to the tower tomorrow.
