Diary 13

"Naeun! Naeun! Where are you?!" Kai shouted.

He followed the path as he rode his horse, worriedly.

"Naeun!"

When suddenly, he heard a horse. He followed to the noise and saw the white horse that Naeun was on.

He got off his horse and pet the white horse, calming her down.

"Naeun?"

"I'm over here!" Naeun's voice was heard.

"Stay there! I'm coming!" Kai shouted.

As soon as he got there....

"Naeun, are you alright?" He asked as he panted.

"I'm fine, really." She replied.

Kai was relieved.

"Then, what made you run off like that?" He asked.

"Oh, um...I couldn't take how beautiful the path was up ahead, but then I heard these pups." She replied.

"Pups?"

Naeun giggled and showed Kai the pups that she found.

There's three of them.

"Three of them? Oh my god."

"Cute right? But they're actually wolf pups." Naeun said.

"Then what are we going to do? We don't know their mom went." Kai said.

"I felt some food and water, just in case unless their mom don't come back for a while." Naeun said.

"Um....think again Naeun." He said.

"What?"

Kai pointed what was behind him.

It was the Mother Wolf. And she was growling. 

"Kai, step back...very slowly." Naeun whispered.

And he did.

"It's okay, your babies are fine. I'm just leaving now." Naeun said, calmly.

The wolf growled but then she smelled a scent from Naeun.

The wolf came up to her and sniffed.

"What's it looking for?" Kai asked.
"For food." Naeun replied, giggling.

"Sorry mama wolf, I gave it all to your babies."

The wolf pouted and went to her pups, while Naeun was petting them.

"Now, let's walk out slowly." Naeun whispered.

Kai totally agreed.

As soon as they both walked out, Kai was amazed.

"How did you do that?" He asked.
"Simple, from Ye-Jun. He loves wolves. They might look dangerous but they're technically protecting their pups. Now, come on. Let's go." Naeun replied she got onto her horse.

"Oh...ne." Kai said and got into his horse as well.

As they rode off, Kai couldn't keep his eyes off of her. The more he gets to knows about her, the more he falls for her.

Tonight, is very special. They're going to be star gazing together as a class.

As soon as they got done eating, they pick a spot where they can look up at the stars.

Naeun had her jacket with her and as she gazed up at the stars. She couldn't help but smile.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Kai asked as he sat next to her.

"Hmm...ne. I wish it was like this back at home though." She replied.

"Yeah. Me too."

Then it became silent between them.

"So, um...how's being a school nurse so far?" Kai asked.

"Pretty good. And pretty challenging too. And I'm excited." Naeun replied.

"Excited?"

Naeun nodded.
"I'm almost done with the externship. Then I'm going to go the hospital that I wanted to go."

"Oh really. That's really awesome. Where would you be going?" Kai asked

"Zhang Hospital."

"My friend works there." Kai said.
"Oh really? That's neat." Naeun said.

"And he's a doctor too. You might be his nurse or something like that." Kai said.

"Hehe, that depends where they will put me. I don't really mind in what position I'm in anyways." She said.

"Anyways, what about you Kai?"

Kai hesitated.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked." Naeun said.

"No it's okay. I've always thought maybe I can run my Dad's company. But I've been having second thoughts." Kai said.

"Oh...I see. Well, you can do anything you wish. Any career is good Kai."

Kai smiled at her and glanced back at the stars.

"Naeun."

"Hm??"

"Thank You."

Naeun gave him a smiled nodded

"You're welcome."

Dear diary,
I've never thought I could be able to sit with Kai looking at the stars together. I feel comfortable around him and my heart keeps beating 💗 but...I think...he doesn't feel the same way.
