Dear Diary,
We all know what's going on right now. You know back out from my brother's orders. The case of the missing nurses are still going around. I'm still hurt but why did he stick around? Around me?

What's the point?

Naeun sighed and closed her diary, grabbed her bag and left the room. As soon she walked downstairs, she saw Suho talking to Daehyun.

"So, Kai is not working under you?" Suho asked.
"He didn't obey my orders, he just backed out for the last minute. I'm sorry." Daehyun apologized.

"No need. He's not like this." He said.
Naeun walked down and greeted Suho.

"Hi Suho,"

"Hi Naeun."

"Am I interrupting?" She asked.
"No. It's fine. I'm about to leave. Hyung is waiting for me at the company." He replied.

"And what about you? You seemed like you're going somewhere." Daehyun asked.

"I'm just going to Krystal's apartment. I haven't visited her for a while." Naeun replied.
"I can take you there, if you would like." Suho offered.

"No thanks. I'll take a taxi, she don't live that far." Naeun said.

"Okay. Just be careful out there." Suho said and left.

"Naeun, are you sure?" Daehyun asked.
"No need to worry, Oppa." Naeun smiled.

She walked out of the house and went straight to Krystal's place.

"I haven't seen you for a while, How are you?" Krystal asked.

"I'm the same as always." Naeun replied.
"What about you and Kai? Have you guys dated yet?" Krystal asked.

"Um..." Naeun trailed off, thinking about what happened between her and him.

"Naeun?"

"It's nothing. Let's not talk about him." She said.
"What happened?" Krystal asked, worriedly.

"It's not like we're not dating or anything. I'm just hurt." Naeun replied.

"What actually happened?"

"Well, you know the case has been going on and he was assigned on a mission to protect me by my brother's command. And then...he backed out all of a sudden." Naeun explained.

"That's unusual. That's not like him though. Someone must've threatened him." Krystal said.
"But who though?"

"Doesn't matter anyway." Naeun said.
"You don't mean that, do you?" Krystal asked. 
"Whatever he does, it's his decision." She replied.

Kai and Jennie were in bed together and he regret it. He was saving it for someone special to him. And good thing he was using protection.

Jennie knocked out and cuddled next to him while Kai has his arms behind his head as he was lying down.

Jennie moves her position, getting Kai a chance to move. He went to the bathroom and took a warm shower and all he thought was Naeun. Her reaction never left his mind.

He turned off the faucet and sighed.

He then went back to the bed and laid there. Jennie changed her position again and cuddled him again.

"Hmm, that was great." She mumbled.
Kai stayed silent.
"You know, I don't mind a second round." She said, seductively.

Kai sighed and got up.
"Where you going?" She asked.
"Home. Where else?" He replied as he got dressed up.

"That's a lie. You're going to see her." Jennie said.
"And what if I was?" He grunted.
"You're mine, remember that." Jennie said.

Kai scoffed. "Whatever."
Jennie got up and put on her night gown on and cuddled Kai from behind.

"Remember our deal, Jongin. You want to keep her safe, don't you?"

He sighed and took her hands off him and left.

Naeun got back home and she went straight to her room.

Meet me at the park.

She suddenly got a text from Kai.

She sighed and ignored the text. I don't want to see him.

I know you saw the text, but you don't come. I'll come into your room. I just want to talk.

He'll come into my room?! She thought.

Naeun sighed and got up and left for the park.

"Ye-Jun."

"Ne?" He asked.

"I'm going to the park. Just so you know." She replied.

"Mwoh? At the time?" He asked again.
"I'll be back. Besides it's not that late." Naeun then left. Ye-Jun felt unsure so he decided to follow her.

Naeun got the nearby park and looked around. She noticed Kai was sitting on the swing. She walked up to him and...well, she just stood in front of him.

"Well, I'm here." She said.

Kai looked up and stared at her eyes.

"Make it quick. I have a long day today and why do you smell like you just got laid? Don't tell me you—"

Kai cut her off by bringing her into a hug.

Kai was about to kiss her on the lips but she pushed him away.

"What the hell, Kai?!" Naeun exclaimed.

"Can I—"
"No you can't! You...your mouth smells like....really? You slept with someone, didn't you?" She asked.

"I miss you." Kai said.
"At least rinse your mouth after—wait, what?" Naeun said

"I miss you, Naeun."

Naeun got out of his arms and looked confused.

"Didn't you say you didn't like me?" She asked

Kai stayed silent.

On the other hand, Ye-Jun decided to get his sister which was a surprise for her.

"You followed?" Naeun asked.
He nodded. "Kai, please leave her alone. I think you hurt her enough. Even though she's my older sister, I got to be there to protect her."

They both left as Kai stood there and watched them walked away.

"Thank you, Ye-Jun." Naeun mumbled.
He nodded and put his jacket around her shoulders.

"Let's go home. Hyung will be worried."

Kai stood there as they both walked away.

I'm sorry, Naeun. I really am.
