Chapter 29- Week 1 part 4

Kendall’s POV

“What are you doin’ here Vita?” Cole hissed out as all three of us glared at the conniving witch.

Her sneer turned into a hateful glare of her own as she took in each of us, “Surprised to see me back in town after threatening to kill me if I didn’t leave and stay away?” she bit out loudly causing heads to turn nearby.

I saw Jayden shoot a careful glance at Amelia, who was silently watching the exchange between all of us with narrowed eyes, before he shot a warning look back towards Vita, “Look Vita, this is not the time nor the place. I think you need to leave before you embarrass yourself…”

Vita untangled herself from Damon and step closer towards our table with her hands perched on her hips, “I’m sure you mean, before I embarrass the three of you,” she said menacingly as her eyes shifted from Jayden to Amelia beside him.

Vita’s eyes were appraising as she took in Amelia before her wicked sneer was back on her face and she was hooked back on to Damon’s side again, “And who’s this?”

“I was just asking the same question,” Damon said his grin just as wicked as Vita’s.

“That doesn’t concern you…She doesn’t concern, either of you,” Cole spit out venomously. I could tell his tolerance was wearing thin, “Now I suggest the both of you choose to leave willingly before the choice is made for you.”

“Oh, don’t be like that Cole,” Vita said as she slyly looked over at me for what seemed like the first time since she showed up at our table, “And what about you Kendall…Do you want me to leave, or do you still have a soft spot for me in the cold heart of yours?”

And there it was, the moment I knew was coming.

Vita. The women who could mess-up everything was standing right in front of us, latched on to Damon of all people. My breath almost caught as the sight of her hit me like a tone of bricks. Her long, thick fiery red hair, her flawless pale skin, those haunting deep green eyes, she was a sight to behold even now after all this time.

Vita was our first candidate… she was also the first woman I’d ever loved…and the first woman to ever break my heart.
