"Betty I love you but this is against the law," I say.

"It's for Archie," She says.

"So much for letting this go," Veronica says as Betty pulls something from her bag and shoves it in between the window. "Are we really breaking into Grundy's car right now? How do you even know how to do that?"

'My dad and I fix cars together. Thank God, she drives an old-" Betty says as the door opens.

"Okay, before going any further, if I'm committing a felony, I need to at least ask the question. Are you doing this because you still have feelings for Archie, or?" V says getting into the Car with Betty. She leaves her door open and I lean against her side.

"No, Veronica," Betty says, "We're doing this because Grundy has Archie under some kind of sexual spell, and he won't listen to reason. We're looking for anything that proves Grundy isn't as clean as she says she is." She says digging around. She pulls a box from the back and smirks. "Bobby pin."

"Okay, Ms. Gyver," V says pulling a bobby pin from her hair.

"I learned that from the Nancy Drew - Detective Handbook," Betty says smiling proudly as she unlocks the box.

"-Okay, go," V says rolling her eyes.

"Oh, my God," Betty says whispering.

"Oh, my God," V says.

"What?" I ask. V shows me a license with a picture of Miss Grundy but under the name of Jennifer Gibson. "Holy shit!"

"'Jennifer Gibson' Who the hell is Jennifer Gibson?" V asks.

"That's not the only thing," Betty says pulling out a gun.

"Oh, God," I say, "oh my fucking god Betty put it down."

"We have to tell Archie," Veronica says getting out of the car. Betty puts the box backs and climbs out to.

"Lets me him at my house," She says.

"Let's go before we get arrested," I say.

I took a seat on Archie's steps while Betty paces around. "Betty, this could all just be a miss understanding," I say.

"Are you really defending her for lying to Archie?" She snaps at me.

"Listen, Betty," I say, "you are like a sister to me. And I love you like one. But you need to relax."

"I need to warn Archie about his lying cougar girlfriend," She hisses.

"Fine whatever," I say. V pulls her close to her and they start whispering. They stop when they both look over. I stand up to see the familiar fire red locks.

"Oh, God. Please don't tell me you're still on this crazy witch hunt," He says walking over to us. I remain in my spot.

"It's not a witch hunt, and it's not crazy," Betty says. She looks at V and starts again. "We were just in Grundy's car"

"-What? You were in her car?" Archie asks.

"-Yeah, and thank God we were. We found a gun," V says.

"-What?" Archie asks.

"And an ID with the name Jennifer Gibson. This is proof Ms. Grundy is not who she says she is," Betty says.

"Then who is she?" Archie asks.

"Obviously some sketch-queen named Jennifer Gibson," V says.

"Archie, what if she had something to do with Jason's murder? She taught him, she made you lie about him, we know she was at the river, she has a gun," Betty says. He shakes his head no.

"So does Dilton Doiley, but you never thought he killed Jason," He says defending her.

"Open your eyes, Archie. Jason was her student last year. Everything about her is a huge, boldfaced question mark," Veronica asks.

"Okay, whatever her name is, she's not a killer," He says.

"You didn't ask her, did you? About her name? And why there's no record of her before last year?" Betty asks. Archie shakes his head no and sighs, "Why not?" Betty says rudely.

"Arch," I say as he walks into his house. I look down at Betty. She wasn't okay. And this isn't about protecting Archie. It was about her and Archie. And everyone knew it. I wasn't mad at her for that. I wasn't mad at her for anything. "You okay," I ask as I walk down the steps.

"Yeah I'm fine," She says, "I'm going to go home."

"Night Betty," I say. I watch her as she walks home. Making sure she got there.

"Want a ride home?" Veronica asks.

"You drive?" I ask.

"Someone is picking me up," She says.

"Nah," I say, "I have to go to the south side to talk to my Aunt anyways so."

"Alright see you tomorrow," She says.

"See ya,"

I knock on the hard metal door of the trailer earning a few barks from the dogs inside. The door was pulled open. "Hey Aunt Lily," I say.

"Hey kid," She says, "come on in." She walks in and I step into the trailer. The familiar smell of dog and candles fills the air around me. "Just don't be too loud Sophia and Ava is asleep."

  "Alright," I say.

"So what are you here for?" She asks.

"Um when I said I was coming down here you offered Mom's old truck," I say, "I know I said I wanted you to hold onto it but-"

"You can have it," She says.

"Thanks," I say,

"Your welcome," She says, "so did you get tired of walking around Riverdale?"

"Kinda," I say.

"Well here are the keys," She says tossing the set to me.

"Thanks, Aunt Lily," I say.

"You're welcome baby girl," She says. I walk over and pull her into a hug. "You look so much like your mother."

"Thanks, but my mom was pretty and I'm not so," I say. She rolls her eyes and hands me an envelope.

"You are beautiful baby girl," She says, "and that is for you."

"What is it?" I ask.

"I don't know," She says, "I didn't want to snoop." I shove it into my pocket. "Now it's late and I school night so you better get moving."

"I will," I say. I wave to her and walk out her door over to the black rusted pickup truck. I unlock the door and climb in. It was like I remember it. My moms charms for us kids hanging off the mirror. I look around and see a familiar black leather. I pick it up and turn it around. It was my mother's serpents jacket.
