Chapter 23

  "Shit shit shit shit shit shit," I hiss running through my apartment "I'm gonna be so fucking late." I grab my bag and keys and run to my truck and climb in. I speed to the school. By the time I get there I had missed all of first period. I run inside.

  "Jesus Y/n," I hear Archie say. I walk up to him and Betty as they stand by Archie's open locker.

 "You look-" Betty says.

"Awful I know," I say as I pull on the long red t-shirt, "I couldn't sleep."

"Why?" Betty asks.

"Some stupid shit," I say, "so what's up."

"Um we were talking about life," Archie says.

"Sure," I say. I fix my hair and they both go silent staring behind me. I turn to see Juggie being lead through the halls by Sheriff Keller and Principal Weatherbee. 

"Call my dad," He says as he passes us. I start to move towards him and Archie grabs my arm.

"Yeah, yeah we will," Archie says.

"Of course," Betty says. I watch as he is lead out of my sight.

"I fucking told you this would happen, Betty," I say, "you two let's go we're leaving."

"Y/n calm down," Betty says.

"My best friend is being dragged out of the school by the fucking sheriff, Betty, why the hell should I calm down," I say, "Now are you coming or not." She sighs.

"We can't skip school," She says.

"Thanks for the answer," I say walking away from them.

"Y/n," Archie says as he catches up with me.

"What Archie?" I ask.

"He will be okay I promise," He says.

"I hope," I say.

"Guys!" Betty yells.

"What?" I ask.

"I'm coming," She says.

"You sure? Your mom will literally kill you,"I say.

"I want to," She says.

"Then let's go," I say.

I sat inside the police station waiting room. The whole situation was making me anxious. I could feel my heart racing as I pace around the room. "Y/n he will be fine," Archie says.

"I hate police stations and hospitals," I say to him.

"I know," He says.

"Please sit down Y/n," Betty says. I sigh and sit by her and Archie. I bounce my leg as we wait and Archie slams his hand on my knee forcing me to stop. 

"Y/n please calm down," He says as he moves his hand. 

"What if they don't believe him?" I ask him, "what if they use him as a scapegoat since they are at a standstill."

"They won't," Archie says, "now calm down because if he see you freaking out then he is going too."

"Y/n he wants you in there," Sheriff Keller says, "follow me." I stand up and follow him back to the small room. I look at the raven as he sat there looking down. I sit across from him as Keller walks out of the room.

"You okay?" I ask He looks up at me with fear in his eyes.

"No," He says, "they think I did it." I look at him. He looks nervous. "I didn't do it, Y/n, you have to believe me."
