"Y/n!" Delahila yells. I sigh and I open my door.

"I'm in my room!" I yell. She walks in and shuts it behind her.

"Mom wants to know if you're ready?" She says as I adjust my black overalls.

"Yeah, I guess," I say as I put on the lipstick.

    "Is that mine?" She asks.

"Yeah," I say as I hand her the dark red lipstick. She rolls her eyes.

"Stop taking my stuff," She says stomping out.

"It looks better on me anyway!" I yell. I pull on my high tops and I walk out to the living room. I see Adam staring down at his phone.

"Are you guys fighting about makeup again?" He asks.

"Are you texting Polly Cooper even though she flat out rejected you again?" I ask.

"Whatever," He says, "at least I have the balls to ask my crush out."

"I don't even have a crush on anyone Adam," I say.

"Don't lie you are so in love with Jughead" He says. I flip him off as our mom walks in.

"Y/n," She says.

"He started it," I say.

"I'm finishing it," She says, "now are you ready?"

"Yeah," I say.

"Fine then let's go, kids," she says. We climb into her car. I sat in the back with my little sister Oliva and brother Caleb. Caleb's car seat digging into my sides.

"Why couldn't you stop at 3 kids mom?" I ask, "then I wouldn't be so squished."

"I was gonna stop at four but then I had the twins," she says. I sigh as she starts the truck.

"At least Delahila is hanging with some friends," Adam says.

"Well, it would have been easier if mom would of let me stay at Betty's or even Archie's," I say.

"You've been everywhere but home all summer," She says, "I wanted my cub home with me."

"I understand," I say as she pulls out of the driveway. I look at the gray house and smile. As much as I loved being at everyone else's house, man did I love being home. Having my own room, my own bed. All of us older kids had our own rooms. Although Adam's room was a recent add-on to the house and Delahila sleeps in the basement. My mom put up a wall to separate half of the basement to give her a room. The twins had Adams old room and I had Delahila's. Her light blue paint still covering the walls. Mom always says the only downside of having five kids is the space. She worked so hard to give us our own space. She and other serpents were the ones who helped remodel our house. Although Fred and FP did help when they got off work. Fred and FP were always around my family. Apparently, my mom was super close to them growing up. So when I got really close to Archie and Jughead she thought it was hilarious.

"Now kids," she says snapping me from my thoughts, "your dad will be here later after work." I groan.

"Can't he just stay away?" Adam asks.

"I wish," I huff.

"Now he is your dad," Mom says.

"Dad's don't act like that," Adam says.

"Is he back from that job?" I ask.

"Yeah he has another one in about a week," she says.

"Can I ask Jug if I can stay at his house? Or Betty's?" I ask. She sighs and nods.
