"What are you doin? Playin tea party? Get to work!" Hank calls out at us across the room. "Don't forget kiddos that I am your test instructor. I decide your score." He has walked over to where we are sitting.

"Sorry, sir." Josh says.

"What did you just say?"

"Sorry."

"20 push-ups."

"But all I said was-"

"NOW!"

Josh's face is bright red. He gets down and Hank starts to count.

"1, 2, 3," He stops after Josh collapses to the ground. "Keep going! Only 27 left."

Hank walks away.

After he is done, I ask him, "What the hell was that? Are you trying to get a bad score?"

"All I said was-" I put my hand up to stop him.

"No use." I can feel my face getting hotter. "Let's go!"

I start to walk over to the Paintball Guns.

"Wait!" I hear behind me. Sounds like Josh, so I just keep walking.

"Hey! Your really fast" It is a girl who was called to be in my group. She is kinda strong looking. I had never met her. "Hi, I'm Hannah!" She puts out her hand. "And you are?"

"Anna." I shake her hand.

"Nice grip!" She wears a nice smile on her face. "I have to get back to my partner, but I just wanted to say that you need to control Jay more."

She starts to go away but I stop her. "Who's Jay?"

"Your partner."

"No. His name is Josh." I say with anger boiling up inside once again.

"That might be what the 'J' in Jay is, but still." She looks back at her partner. "I have to get back. Nice meeting you."

"You too." Before I could finish, she is gone.

I walk back over to Josh. He is getting a drink of water. I tap on his shoulder to get his attention.

"Everyone calls you 'Jay'?"

"Ya, why?" He states with a frown.

"Why didn't you have me call you that?"

"Because I was afraid you were going to come into school and try to look for me. That is my real name though. Josh A. Young."

"Don't worry. I still can." I go back to the shooting area.

Jay comes over and taps me on the shoulder. "Can you do me a favor?"

I don't even know if I want to answer him.

"Hey. You deaf?" He looks pissed.

"No. Maybe I want to focus on training. What do you want."

"Don't be so pissy. I just want to talk."

"Well I don't. Just focus on shooting."

I am my gun at the target. I shoot in the second inner ring.

"You got good aim!" Josh says behind me. "How did you learn how to do that? Are you a Militia child?"

"No I'm not. And I just shoot. Never done it before."

I look back shoot again. I hit the bullseye.

"Hey!" I here call from behind me. I turn around and it's Hank.
