"You look... woah." Damon gasped as I came down the stairs.
I laughed. "You're not too bad yourself."
I kissed his cheek, posed for a picture, and was about to leave.
"Damon, could you give me a minute with my granddaughter?" Nana asked.
"Of course ma'am."
"I'll wait in the car." Damon kissed my cheek.
I nodded. "Yes grandma?"
"You were attending events with Stefan Salvatore for weeks. What happened?"
"Nana, we broke up a month ago. I'm with Damon now."
"I liked Stefan. He always knew how to behave in public."
"Damon has rehearsed for this for weeks, Nana. He knows what he's doing."
"He has something about him." She looked curious.
"He's perfect, I promise." I kissed her cheek.
"I will see you later."
She nodded. "Don't embarrass the Taylor name, Luna."
I nodded. "Of course, Nana."

"Now pronouncing, Caroline Forbes. Escorted by..."
Caroline looked so beautiful.
"Now pronouncing, Luna Taylor. Escorted by Damon Salvatore."
I smiled at Damon as I walked down the long staircase, and he grinned back.
"You look more beautiful every time I see you." Damon whispered.
"Shut your mouth and dance." I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"Well, you see, us vampires can't procreate. But we like to try." He winked.
"Damon!"
He smiled.
"You're used to modest. Stefan ruined you." He rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Dance." I smiled again as the music started playing.

"Luna! Congratulations on making Miss Mystic Falls!" Jenna hugged me.
"Aw, thanks Jenna."
"Did you hear that Logan Fell died?"
I pulled together my eyebrows.
"Seriously?"

(Yes, I know at this point you're like "ew, the events are all messed up." It's my plot line, I'm doing whatever works in the moment, so stfu :) I may do the cheerleader car wash AFTER the pageant. I may not kill off Lexi (who would, she's my mom). I may never add in Elijah. Deal with it biatch :) -Arielle)

"Yeah. I mean, I don't really care, but I was wondering if you heard."
"Jenna!" I scolded.
"Who are you with now? Back with Tyler?" She asked.
"No, actually, he's around here somewhere. His name's Damon."
"Aw, let me know when you find him. I'd love to meet him."
"Of course. How's Jeremy?"
"He's been asking to see you." She smiled. "But he's getting better. He's actually doing homework."
"That's amazing!" I laughed.
"He's around here somewhere, he was escorting one of the girls. If you see him, tell him to find me, I have his cell phone."
"Of course." I smiled.
She hugged me. "It was great talking to you. You have to come over again."
I nodded. "I promise I will."

I walked into the bathroom to fix my make up.
I looked behind me in the mirror.
"Oh my God."
"Hey, sweetie."
"Elena?"
"I've been over this with tons of people already. It's Katherine."
"What do you want with me?" I was overwhelmed with fear.
"I want you to give the Salvatore brothers a message for me, of course. Which one are you dating?"
"I used to date Stefan, but now I'm dating Damon." I looked at her curiously.
"Ooo, perfect. Follow me, or we can do this painfully."
I followed her until she led us into a dark parking lot.
"Perfect. No one's leaving yet."
I was shaking.
"What did you need?"
"Oh, honey." She smiled and pulled me into a hug.
And then I felt her sharp teeth rip into my neck.
She drank until I was almost dead. Enough so I could speak, but not move.
"Enjoy the rest of your night." She smiled.
And alone I was, on the ground, waiting for the brothers to find me, like the helpless little human I was.

Damon's POV:

I sat at the bar waiting for Luna to find me.
She looked so amazing tonight, it'd be hard to miss her.
Stefan ran up to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Here for the party. I smell blood. We need to go."
I looked at him. "Who's?" He asked.
He gave me a serious look.
"Luna?" I asked.
He always did have a sharper sense of smell, regardless of his diet. Plus, he hasn't been drinking as much alcohol as I have, guaranteed.
"Well, what are we waiting for?"
"Excuse me." Stefan constantly said as we made it to through the crowd, and then got outside and sped, me following him.
The smell became sharper.
"Damon, you have to go." Stefan said as we got to her.
"I'm not leaving."
"You could kill her." Stefan growled.
"You can go, Damon." Luna whispered.
My eyes began to water.
"I said I'm not leaving."
Stefan bit himself, and held his wrist out to Luna.
"Drink." He ordered. She did so.
She had enough strength to not be in pain when Stefan carried her.
You could tell it made him uncomfortable, holding her AND being so close to her neck.
He set her down on a bench a few blocks away.
"Who did this to you?" I asked.
She shook her head. "I can't tell you. Maybe if I don't, the future will he easier. You won't know they're here." Luna said.
"Luna, you need to tell us." Stefan got on his knees, put his hands on hers, and lifted her chin to look at her.
I pushed him away and did the same.
"So there's more than one person?" I asked.
"No. I didn't wanna use the pronoun. You'd know in an instant."
"Tell me." I said.
She closed her eyes. "Katherine."
She looked at Stefan.
"I swear to God, she's Elena's doppelganger, Stefan."
I sat beside her. "Elena and Katherine?"
She nodded.
I looked at Stefan. "Why is she back?"
"Who knows." Stefan rolled his eyes.
I looked at Luna.
"Baby, here's the deal. Does your Nana know Zach is dead?"
"No, why?" She looked beyond confused.
"You're going to tell her that Zach invited you on a two week camping trip with us."
She crossed her arms and pursed her lips. I forgot how she hates being told what to do.
"Please?"
"Better." She smiled. "But I doubt she'll let me take off school."
"She will if I have anything to do about it." I winked.
"Damon! You're not compelling my grandmother." She scolded.
"How else are we going to get you away?" I asked.
She nodded. "Fine. But you have to do it for my grandfather too, or he'll know something's up."
"Duh." I rolled my eyes.
"Attitude check." She warned.
"Damn, she has you on a tight leash." Stefan laughed.
I glared.
"Come on. You're staying with us." I picked her up and carried her to the car. She fell asleep.
"You really love her, don't you?" Stefan asked as I drove.
"Duh, can't you tell?"
Stefan laughed and shook his head.
"Just try and keep it down in the house from now on."
"You're just upset because I made her into a complete badass."
"I am not." Stefan rolled his eyes.
"Please, you're upset because I've had more sex with her this month than you two did since you met."
Stefan glared. "Neither of you two's sex life is my concern anymore." Stefan shrugged.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever you say."
