A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.

An overwhelming sense of that emotion flooded through him. Drem hadn't ever felt it before, which was a surprise given what happened five years ago and what Nathan had done to him. Then again, he could always watch Nathan at times from his small cage, which his little doe so kindly removed him from. Perhaps, he never felt the emotion before because at the time he still had Nathan for company. Granted, Nathan never paid him any mind.

Now, though, he had been set free from his small confines. Still, he was restricted to a cage, however; it was just bigger. This wasn't the significant difference, though. Rather, it had everything to do with the little doe. She didn't ignore him like Nathan; she couldn't do a thing against him. Instead, she unintentionally set him into a larger playground and made herself his prey.

Sure, it wasn't of her volition, but she had still done it regardless. So, after releasing him, her trying to leave caused something to go off in him. She had given him company that amused him, that didn't pretend that he wasn't there, yet she was attempting to take that away from him. He had lacked that kind of company for five years, and he didn't want to lack it ever again. The doe nearly left him alone, while she ran off free into the wild. By doing this, she had caused him to feel loneliness, and he hated it.

Through feeling this emotion, he had snapped. He never wanted to feel this; he didn't think he was capable of it, yet he had been panicking because he almost lost his only real company. How dare she cause him to experience such a thing; how dare she make him realize that he was somewhat dependent on her.

Of course, he needed her fear to grow stronger, but it wasn't a necessity. He didn't have to become stronger. Technically, he didn't have to possess company that acknowledged his existence either. Despite this, however, he didn't desire to be left alone again. This vulnerable want pissed him off, but he found that he couldn't shove it away. It was persistent, and it wouldn't leave him alone.

His brown eyes, staring down at her, displayed both relief and anger. He would keep her alive, but she needed to know that escaping was unacceptable. She was a doe, trapped in a caged meadow, and she needed to learn that. Her trying to prance off past the fence would be punished.

Letting his rage consume his next actions, he unlocked the backdoor and opened it. His gaze only left his doe for a second before returning back to her. Her (e/c) eyes had locked themselves onto the open door, and he could see the fear swelling up in her widened orbs. With not a moment's more hesitation, he began to drag her back inside.

It wasn't really dragging, though. Rather, it was more of pushing the air behind her to simulate the action of dragging. Still, the distinction didn't matter, so long as it worked to bring her back inside. His little doe, however, wasn't going to be brought back into the house so easily. Instantly, the beginning of scream went to leave her mouth.

Taking no chances, Drem raced over to her side and pressed his hand against her mouth. It should've shut her up, but she continued regardless of the cold biting into her. Severely annoyed by this, he climbed on top of her and straddled her hips. His knees pressed into her sides, while the palms of his hands grasped her shoulders. Her teeth started to chatter, and her body began to shiver.

Already, her scream had been silenced by the piercing cold, which radiated off of his limbs. He wasn't finished, though. No, her further defiance would have another consequence as well. Drem liked her rejection of him, but at the moment that resistance against him would be quelled. So, in the next instant, he leaned down and pressed his lips to her.
