HEADCANON — NUMBER THREE; BEING ON THE AVENGERS AND DATING PETER WOULD INCLUDE

• you joining the avengers a few months before peter was recruited • him kinda being high-key jealous that they wanted you first before him • but he also didn't really care at the same time since your powers were way more useful then his web shooters • you being sorta jealous when you weren't the only young one in the gang anymore • but that was also before you had met him too, • you were expecting a total jackass or showoff when he arrived • (clint was telling you all sorts of shit like he could fly and tear through walls that made you think very low of him since he had way better powers than you had.) • and tony told peter all about you and the gang before he arrived • (and he totally romanticized you for peter because tony's that guy) • peter actually being the totally polar opposite when you met him • which made you feel very bad for how you thought of him initially • the two of you hit it off right away, talking about your powers • "wait, so you can climb walls and swing from building to building?" •"y-yea, basically" • "goddamn it, clint!" • you two always deciding to train with each other • always competing who would beat each others ass first • (peter being slightly afraid that you would because you were pretty strong for a fifteen year old girl) • ending up wrestling on the ground, you trying really hard to pin him down even though he was pretty strong himself • ending up being separated by natasha because "your guys' puppy love is annoying." • peter always complaining that he wasn't a full-fledged avenger yet since you were • explaining that it was an accident that you were found by tony and the team • you were experimented on by a hydra group when you were very young, so that's how you got your powers [you pick what powers] • everyone being especially protective over you since you were the youngest, and now they also had peter to 'babysit' as well • but everyone secretly loved him but didn't like to admit it • everyone also finding out peters massive crush on you • but you were obviously oblivious to it • and you also liked peter a lot too • but you were better at hiding them than peter • when you'd go on missions, peter would constantly be checking up on you • "y/n! where are you? anybody got eyes on her? i can't see her!" • "peter, i'm up the block. chill out." • "o-oh, good." • everyone rolling their eyes at his protectiveness • then when you'd come back to the quinjet limping a bit, peter would lose it • "oh god, y/n! are you okay? oh god, oh god, please be alright." • "peter, I literally just sprained my ankle. i'm fine." • he'd pick you up anyways just so you wouldn't hurt it anymore, and you'd try to hide your blush • the only people who'd you tell about your crush were natasha and wanda • well, wanda found out on her own by scouring through your brain for answers • which resulted in you punching her really hard • they'd both be super excited that their 'otp is finally getting together!' • they'd also make a plan, without you knowing of course, to get peter to ask you out. • when in fact peter was always consoling tony and steve on how to ask you out • "but, y/n's different then all those other girls. what would she like?" • "flowers. all ladies love flowers." • "let i remind you that this fellow right here plopped into the twenty first century only a couple of years back. so don't take advice from the fossil." • "not cool, tony." • peter then finding wanda spying on him and asking her what she was doing • "well, my initial plan was to force you to ask y/n out, but seeing as you already were doing it, I'd like to actually help" • "wanda!" • both of them deciding on peter asking you to the upcoming homecoming at your guys' school • "so, i-i was, uh, wo-ondering if you wanted t-to go to the h-homecoming w-with me?" • "wait, for real? it's not a joke, is it?" • "of course not! i really do like you!" • "oh, thank god! I would have died." • then after the both of you started dating, peter would get even more protective then before • but not in the agressive fashion, he'd just do stuff like always trying to sit beside you in team meals and always trying to be paired up with you when going on a mission • and not only that, peter would actually be the sweetest boyfriend ever • he'd always try to hold your hand, but he doesn't grip it hard, he'll lightly squeeze it and rub his thumb along the back of your hand • and kisses • litTLE RANDOM KISSES • whether on the hand, cheek or forehead, he just loves showing little affection like that • all in all, being an avenger and dating peter would be a strange since it wasn't a totally normal relationship between two normal people •but it was totally worth it
