Chapter 23: Dracarys

You run to Dawn's room and slam the door in your haste:
"Dawn?"
The window is open, and her luggage gone. You return to Ash and sit down next to him:
"How much time has passed before you discovered she was gone?"
He sighs, laying on the sofa:
"Half an hour or something..."
How stupid!
"You should have warned me immediately! You know she has a Togekiss, right? I can't find her anymore now, can I?"
Ash shrugs:
"Perhaps it's better to leave her alone. It wouldn't help if she'd be here against her will either."
You turn on the TV, there was another contest today:
"You really should have buried the hatchet. I can't stand you quarreling your entire life."
Ash stands up, offended:
"Do you really think I haven't tried?! Because I did! I did important things, while you did... what? Preparing breakfasts, flirting and kissing with Lillie and buying houses?"
Serena is on TV... good timing...
You just sigh, annoyed:
"Ash, say whatever you want about me, but keep Lillie out of this." You say, standing up as well:
"I see you're tired and heartbroken. I'll leave you alone." You say, wanting to turn off the TV. Ash stops you:
"No, don't!"
You hesitate:
"I don't that's going to make you any better."
Ash sits down again:
"I said: don't. I want to see her."
You hand over the remote control:
"Whatever you want. I'm going to bed."
As you are walking towards the staircase, Ash whispers:
"Have fun with Lillie."
You decide to stay cool, although you're boiling inside. The best thing is to ignore him and walk on. The others are already in their rooms, most likely too sad to be able to sleep. You walk inside your room, with Lillie still sleeping like a rose. You take off your t-shirt, put on your night pants and lay down next to her.
Ash is still watching TV downstairs...
You fall asleep with only Ash and Dawn on your mind.

"Y/n?"
You open your eyes, to see Lillie's eyes inches away from yours. You try to get up, but she's sitting on your lap. You smile:
"Morning, Lillie. I see you've slept well!"
She nods and kisses you, and you answer her with the same weapon. She laughs happily, and you spent what seemed to be minutes romantically kissing, holding her waist.
She finally answers:
"I have! Have you?"
You think back to what happened yesterday, and your face turns gloomy. Lillie rests her head on your shoulder:
"What is it, Y/n? You seem bothered..."
You nod:
"Lillie, there's something you probably want to know..."
She smiles weakly:
"You can tell me everything, Y/n, for I love you."
You sigh:
"It's about Dawn, she... she left us."
She pulls away for a second:
"Dawn? Gone? B-but... but she has been with us from the beginning! She can't-" She sobs, and you feel a tear that fell on your chest. You stroke her soft blonde hair:
"She can, Lil, and you know it. From the moment she and Ash broke up, things got pretty crazy. And I didn't help her either."
She sits up, still in tears:
"You know what would cheer me up? A good, fair Pokémon battle. No hurting each other, just a normal, fun battle. It's been a long time since we've done that." She says, teasing you with her puppy eyes. That makes you laugh again:
"Heey, don't give me that look! You know I can't resist it!" You say, sitting up as well and giving her a long kiss, savouring every inch of her lips and tongue:
"Anyway, I'd love to battle you, Lillie! Let's get it!" You exclaim, taking her hand and leading her downstairs, both laughing.
Arriving downstairs, you only see Ash and Gladion. Alf was still sleeping. The others left early in the morning to search for information about Team Rocket in the areas you told them to go to.
"Alola!" You say, doing the usual Alolan greeting. Ash nods back:
"Morning."
Gladion leans back in his chair, sitting in the kitchen:
"Alola! It's been a while since I heard that!"
You smile:
"Lillie and I have decided to have a battle, we'll have breakfast afterwards."
Gladion nods:
"Fly, lovebirds, fly! I'll scout Cerulean in my search for Team Rocket, and I'll clean the city too!"
Ash doesn't react, so you let him be and go to the training grounds with Lillie. She looks around her at the terrain:
"This is fine."
You nod:
"So a three versus three it is?"
"I'm down for that!" She says, choosing her three Pokémon carefully:
"Let's go for it! Vulpix, I choose you!" She shouts, sending out the cute Pokémon you gave her once. You smile:
"Midos, your turn."
Riolu stands in battle position, ready to dodge or hit. You look at Lillie:
"Ladies first!"
She nods:
"Vulpix, Ice Shard!"
You stay calm:
"Dodge and counter with Force Palm."
Vulpix faints instantly by the super- effective move. Lillie sighs and sends out her next Pokémon:
"Butterfree, I choose you!" She says, sending out the butterfly you gave her as a Metapod during your monologue, a while ago at the Sevii Islands.
"Force Palm." You say, and Riolu runs towards Butterfree with his fist. Unfortunately, it dodges the attack. Lillie smiles:
"Gust!"
Riolu gets pushed down on the ground by the wind.
Lillie looks at you:
"Watch this, Y/n! Sleep Powder!"
Butterfree spreads a strong-smelling aroma, and Midos, which just got up, falls down again, asleep now. You laugh:
"Really?"
She chuckles cutely:
"Really! No hard feelings. Now, Gust again!"
Midos gets knocked out by the attack, and you withdraw him:
"Metang, it's your chance now. Metal Claw!"
The two Pokémon begin a close combat battle in the air, which Metang wins eventually. Lillie nods:
"Well done, Butterfree. Return. Go, Ponyta! Use Flame Wheel!"
You nod:
"Dodge it and use Confusion."
But your shiny Metang was too exhausted by the previous battle, and it wasn't able to dodge the incoming attack. It fainted in a second. You smile and withdraw Metang, to send out Ivysaur next:
"I think you got me here, Lillie!"
She coos:
"Yay! Ponyta, Flame Wheel, quick!"
She's rushing...
"Ivysaur, dodge it." You say, completely confident now.
Ivysaur dodges the charging Ponyta with ease and waits for the next step. Ponyta almost charged out of the battlefield. You inhale sharply, and your waist begins to shine purple. It was a good thing you decided to give him the TM Venoshock yesterday:
"Ivysaur, this is all we've worked for! Acid Downpour!" You shout, performing the usual dance. A few seconds later, the Ponyta lays on the ground with twirls in its eyes. You know what that means, and you return Ivysaur, after saying "Good job, bud.". You walk over to Lillie:
"Lil, I'm-"
You get interrupted by a hug:
"That was so good, Y/n! You played that really well! You totally bombed me!"
You shake your head, rubbing her back:
"I didn't! I was actually pretty much defeated. You are really, really amazing! Untill I remembered Z-moves still exist." You say, smiling sheepishly. She gives you a kiss:
"You have to teach me how to use Z-moves too sometime!" She says, performing her own Z-move like before. She continues:
"You may have beat me this time, Y/n, but next time, things will be different! Be sure of that!" She says smiling. You kiss back:
"I don't doubt it!" You say, smelling the aroma of her perfume. You release her:
"I'll get us a drink, I think we could both use it. I'll be right back."
You get inside, to see... nobody. You shrug and get the beverages:
"Moomoo milk for Lillie, as usual, Komala coffee for myself, as usual." You whisper to yourself, as you fetch your favourite drinks. The silence starts to become disturbing, so you turn around and say "Gladion? Ash? Alf?", expecting them to be in their rooms. A sudden shriek interrupts your thoughts:
"Y/n!!! Help me!!!"
You slam the door and go outside, where you see Lillie, struggling with a Team Rocket grunt. You send out your Alolan Raichu and run towards them.
