Chapter 30: Down In the Dumps

You moan as you get up, and you help Lillie to stand up as well:
"Are you alright?" You ask, concerned about her being hurt. She nods:
"Yes, thank you for covering me, that was sweet of you."
You give her a quick kiss:
"Everything for you."
You wipe the dust off your clothes next, saying:
"Let's have a look at those badges."
Taking one step in front of the other, you slowly walk towards the badges, looking around for any sign of hostility. It seemed as if Giovanni turned off the microphone's connection.
Maybe he isn't there anymore.

You slowly pick up the Earth badges, and give one to Lillie:
"This one's for you, Lil. We deserve them."
She hugs you tightly:
"We do! You know what this means, right?"
Your face turns dark:
"Lillie... I..."
She shushes you by putting a finger on your lips:
"Shh, we'll talk about this later. We need to get out of this place."
You nod, jump on Charizard with Lillie and fly away, through the collapsed wall.

You land at your house in Celadon City, where Steven is still waiting patiently:
"And?"
You put your thumb up:
"Had a few problems, but everything went well in the end. Lillie had a surprise for me, to save me from being killed!"
Steven furrows his eyebrows:
"What was the surprise?"
Lillie grabs a Poké Ball and sends out her Mew:
"This sweetheart!"
Suddenly, you hear Blue screaming:
"Red, Red! A Mew in our garden! Come over, quickly!"
Lillie chuckles:
"I fear it's already mine, Blue."
You look around to see everyone of the Fellowship gathered around you. You grin:
"Did you seriously gather the Fellowship because we finished all of the Gyms, Blue?"
He shrugs:
"I just wanted to see everyone again, and you completing your badges was a good enough reason!"
That makes you laugh:
"I suppose it's good enough, I'm happy to see you all!"
Blue keeps rubbing his head:
"I still can't believe you caught this thing. Waw. Just waw."
Daisy suddenly joins in:
"There ís another good reason! DJ Leo is going to give a concert in Pallet Town again!"
Your eyes begin to shine like diamonds:
"Holy cow, that's amazing! We should totally go there!"
She grabs a ton of tickets out of her pocket:
"I've already taken care of that!"
Everyone cheers and makes themselves ready for the party.

Lillie fell asleep while you were flying Charizard to Pallet Town, and you stroke her hair.
She needs some sleep, she's been through a lot. She's not the same person who left Alola about a year ago. I know she really wants to go home to see her mum and Hau, but I need to stay here...
You slowly land, and whilst carrying Lillie, you sit down, softly putting her down on the grass.

She wakes up after thirty minutes:
"Sorry, I took a quick nap." She says, kissing you.
You kiss her back:
"Ready for DJ Leo?"
She nods, smiling:
"Totally! Let's go!"

You entered the concert hall, and a lot of nostalgia hit you like a truck.
You hold Lillie's hand and smile:
"Now thís brings me back."
Lillie gives you a quick kiss:
"We got together a few moments after we came here."
You nod and sigh:
"I remember Dawn sitting on the bench over there, outside, crying..."
Lillie gives you an encouraging nod:
"That doesn't matter now anymore, Y/n. I feel bad for Dawn, but we need to move on. This is about us, remember? And now our journey is about to end."
Is it?
You turn around to face your love:
"Lillie, I-"
"PALLET, ARE YOU READY?!"
DJ Leo was preparing himself and the crowd for one of his greatest hits, and you weren't able to talk anymore, there was too much noise.

Steven was dancing with a girl you hadn't seen before. She was wearing a red bandana, a red shirt and black shorts.
