I was putting on some light makeup since we didn't have a show today, just driving to Las Vegas for a show tomorrow night.

I stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom and applied a small layer of foundation. Charlie poked his head in.

"Are you almost ready?" He griped with a frown. I smiled innocently at him.

"Nope," I answered and started applying concealer.

"Uggghhhh," he groaned and tossed his head back. He stayed in the doorway for a few moments, watching me blend in the makeup.

"Why are girls so complicated?" He asked and I flashed him a confused expression in the mirror.

"That's an awfully difficult question for such a casual tone," I told him while applying mascara. He smiled down at his shoes.

"I mean, like, who needs that much crap on their face?" He asked making grand gestures to my makeup bag with his hands. I shrugged and started to pack everything up.

"You ask that like it's an easy question," I tell him, turning to face him. I lean against the bathroom cabinet and cross my arms. He raises an eyebrow.

"It's not?" He questions.

I shrug.
"I guess it depends who you ask. See if you're like me, I always wear makeup because I'm really insecure about my skin. But if you ask someone who is really confident about their face without makeup, it's not such a hard question," I explain and he nods, contemplating my words. I immediately regret it.

"I get it, I guess," he then looks me in the eyes. His steady gaze makes my heart flutter and my breath quickens a little. Oh, the things this boy does to me.

"Why're you insecure?" He asks and I feel my cheeks get hot.

"Time for breakfast," I chirp and slide past him in the doorway, obviously avoiding the question.

He just watches as I pack my stuff up in a hurry.
"You shouldn't be insecure, if you are," he tells me as I throw my bathroom stuff into the bag. I zip it up and look at him; he was still leaned against the door frame of the bathroom.

"Ready?" I ask and he nods ever so slightly.

I start to drag my bags out of the room and he follows behind me. We walk down the hallway to the elevator and walk in. Just us two. Small space. I sigh and pull my bags into the elevator with Charlie following me. He pushes a button and the doors close, leaving us alone.

I feel him staring at me the whole elevator ride down to the lobby. The doors finally open and I'm able to escape the awkwardness of the situation.

I find Lili sipping a cup of hotel coffee in the lounge area of the hotel. I smile and hand my bags over to the bus driver, who happily takes them from me and walks off.

"Morning," I say and Lili smiles up at me.

"Morning, honey," she remarks and pats the seat beside her. I sit down.
"How was your night?"

I shoot her a look.
"Are you kidding? I roomed with Charlie," I say and she looks confused, so I explain more.
"Nobody told me we were rooming together, too!"

She gives me a sympathetic look.
"I'm sorry, I thought you knew," she comforts me and I shake my head, looking at my hands in my lap.

"Nope," I mutter and look up to see Charlie striding across the lobby to Peggy, who also held a cup of coffee.

"What time do we leave?" I ask Lili who checks her watch.
